🎙️ Shaykh salih Al fawzan حفظه الله : “It is NOT permissible 🚫 for a person to leave earning (work/livelihood) and sit for worship, tasbīḥ (glorification of Allah), and tahlīl (saying ‘Lā ilāha illallāh’), and say ; ‘Allah will bring me provision.’ No, this is not ALLOWED. Allah has forbidden this, and such a person becomes humiliated, seeking what is in people’s hands. He should seek provision even with the lowest of professions—even if he is a cupper (ḥajjām) or a sweeper (kannās). He should seek provision even with the lowest of earnings, even if they are not considered honorable. Being a cupper is better than being a BEGGAR. Pay attention to that. Being a cupper or a sweeper and living from your own earnings is better than being a beggar who asks people.”
