The Red Room celebrates its third year this month. For two of those years, the monopolistic @DriveThruRPG barred us from their virtual shelves. Shunned by the woke crowd, we’ve been denied reviews or promotion on mainstream YouTube channels. Even the smaller ones, once allies to the fringe, now chase the latest fad. Yet, like cockroaches, we endure. To mark this anniversary, we’re slashing prices by 30% on all Wretched and Red titles at @moorderehtstore. Use the code redroom3 at checkout on our site to claim it.

Serious question - my friend's OSE based KS isn't doing as well as it used to (please, support him). Is that because OSE, like all the other OSR rule-sets, ShadowDark, etc. have divided the pie to such a degree that the entire old-school audience is hopelessly fractured?
The KS for my newest OSE+LotFP compatible monster zine is now live. (linkage in Linktree in my bio) #OSR #LotFP #DnD #OSE #OldSchoolEssentials

YEAR END SALES + LATEST RELEASES FINALLY AVAILABLE IN THE LotFP US WEBSTORE!
Help us clear out some space!
For the US webstore, we've got "Buy One, Get One for 50% Off". (new releases are not discounted*) No coupon code needed.
For the EU webstore, get 25% off almost everything (new releases and Deck of Weird Things are excepted) by using the coupon code TWENTYFIVE when checking out.
Both webstores ship worldwide.
The sale runs through December 30th.
EU Webstore shipping prices will have the usual incremental price increase with the new year, and the VAT on books increases from 10% to 14% so if EU customers are wanting to buy, now is the time...
We're down to less than 100 of the slipcased Disastrum sets (available only from the EU webstore), so if you're considering it I wouldn't spend all too much time considering...
US Webstore: us.lotfp.com/store/
EU Webstore: lotfp.com/store/
(the "new releases" are Disastrum, Don't Fuck the Priest, Heart of the Saint, and Lair of the Brain Eaters)
* Usually with the 'Buy One Get One 50% Off' offer, the least expensive book would be the one discounted. But because the new releases won't be discounted, that won't necessarily be the case here.
For example, if you bought Heart of the Saint (25€) and Adventure Anthology: Blood (60€), since HotS isn't eligible for the discount, AA:B would instead be the discounted book.
The offer of course holds for multiple books purchased, so for example if you buy 10 books, 5 of them would be 50% off.

Wanted to share my version of the ghoulish king. Sticking this thing together cost me a good deal of skin. Damnable superglue. But I guess that’s on brand for a cannibalistic monster king.

If you’re more concerned with quality products than trying to force a company to pretend to care about your pet social issues, then you should give Miguel a follow and take a look at what the Red Room’s has to offer.
The interactions I had for the last few days on social media reminded me of how much out of touch I am (and have always been) with a large part of the gaming sphere. I was never much of a nerd (or I was more of a movie nerd, which is a different kind of creature), and I was never terminally online, so certain "protocols" that most people seem to follow are strange to me. I don't have alternative accounts anywhere, and I feel no need at all to distance my opinions from the Red Room. I and @mrsmoordereht are the Red Room - there's no distinction at all, and pretending there is would be a charade.
Does it hurt business? Not that much. Maybe we lost a couple of sales, but we all know the cancel culture pigs will dig deep into anyone in the role-playing business. The only way to avoid scrutiny is to have no private accounts, to have no opinions at all, or to toe the line. And you know what? Screw that! Our products don't contain manifestos like the woke games do, they are free from current day politics (well, except Darker, which is a modern day game) and they speak for themselves. But we have our opinions and we'll make them known, and accept the consequences.
I also find it strange when people tell me I'm acting paranoid or weird for addressing negative comments from unknowns on social media. My name is Miguel, which some may assume makes me Latino (which I'm not) or Southern European (which I am). If you insult us, the least we can do is to insult you back! It's a cultural thing, pal!

So I did a little bit of research on Gary Gygax's D&D adventure output for a thing I'm putting together, and I couldn't resist sharing it here. He wrote...
... only two adventures dealing with civilized areas (the aforementioned Keep and Village) and they were populated - with the exception of one advisor and one Tavern visitor in the Keep - entirely by humans
... a sci-fi adventure (Expedition to the Barrier Peaks)
... two horror/deathtrap dungeons (Tomb of Horrors, Temple of Tharizdun)
... a children's fantasy adaptation (Dungeonland + The Land Beyond the Magic Mirror)
... a movie adaptation (Isle of the Ape)
... a Lovecraft-inspired adventure (Shrine of the Kuo-Toa)
... and adventure with psychosexual fantasies (Vault of the Drow and its femdom elves)
... transdimensional fuckery (Queen of the Demonweb Pits).
Lamentations of the Flame Princess is obviously the true heir of Gygaxian adventure.

BREAKING LOTFP EU WEBSTORE NEWS:
* NEW SHIPPING METHOD!
* 25 % OFF SALE ON BOOKLETS + SOFTCOVERS
* JUST SEVEN COPIES OF MIDVINTER LEFT
LotFP EU Webstore: lotfp.com/store/
***
We've got the Global Mail option on the EU webstore up and running, which will result in much cheaper shipping rates for a lot of customers on lighter (under 1kg or especially under 500g) shipments. For example, here are the savings in several different territories between the new shipping method and what was previously the cheapest shipping option if ordering In a Deadly Fashion (a 260 gram book):
Australia: 11,00€ difference (Global Mail 17,00€ vs Posti Priority Parcel 28,00€)
Canada: 21,00€ difference (Global Mail 15,00€ vs UPS Express Saver 36,00€)
Germany: 4,00€ difference (Global Mail 7,00€ vs Posti Parcel Connect 11,00€)
Japan: 23,00€ difference (Global Mail 15,00€ vs Posti EMS 38,00€)
Norway: 6,00€ difference (Global Mail 11,00€ vs UPS Standard 17,00€)
UK: 10,00€ difference (Global Mail 8,00€ vs UPS Standard 18,00€)
USA: 21,00€ difference (Global Mail 15,00€ vs UPS Express Saver 36,00€)
That's a huge savings when making a smaller order. Of course the calculations change the bigger the order (a 1700 gram order is more expensive to the US using Global Mail than UPS Express Saver), so you might have to fiddle a bit to get the optimum savings. And of course it'll be a bit slower than the existing shipping options (up to two weeks). And you're still responsible for any customs charges on your end.
We've added the weights of each title to the product descriptions in the webstore.
FYI weight/price Breakpoints for Global Mail are 300g, 800g, 1300g, and 1730g (max weight to use Global Mail). Breakpoints for UPS are 1850g, 4800g, and 9500g. Breakpoints for DHL Time Definite are 1350g, 2350g, 2850g, 3350g, 3850g, and 4350g, etc.
Of course we ship worldwide from the EU store.

And we have just seven Midvinter copies left in the ol' Finland warehouse. There are a couple dozen still sitting around in overseas warehouses for future conventions, but if you want to order online these are the last copies from us. Midvinter is one of the most unhinged and disturbing folk horror adventures ever in RPGs, all the more effective because it presents itself in good cheer and not as a nightmare. It is a masterpiece.
