Almost the same amount of burning in both countries per year. Difference is that Canada's Boreal forest is 78X larger than the Tongrass in the US. (Boreal - 1.3B ha, Tongrass - 16.7M ha) All US National forests put together are 193M ha. <1% of the Boreal is even accessible
