Swapped an unsprung uPVC door handle for a sprung handle in Herne Bay. A sprung handle reduces strain on the locking mechanism, helping your lock last longer and operate more smoothly. Sometimes prevention is the best repair. #HerneBay #Locksmith #UPVC #DoorHandle

Another busy day on the road! Today’s jobs took us to 📍Deal (x2) and 📍Canterbury (x1). Three customers, three secure properties, and another day doing what we do best. hamesandsonslocksmiths.co.uk #hamesandsonslocksmiths #locksmith #eastkentlocksmith

Another door secured in Herne Bay! The heat is playing havoc with all these uPVC doors.. Causing doors to be out of alignment and putting extra pressure on the gearbox hamesandsonslocksmiths.co.uk #locksmiths #lockrepairs #upvcdoors

If your uPVC door is getting stiff, difficult to lock, or jamming… don’t ignore it. Today’s job in Margate was a complete gearbox failure, replaced before it became a lockout. 🔑 hamesandsonslocksmiths.co.uk #locksmith #margate #failedmechanism #upvcdoor #hamesandsonslocksmiths

It’s crazy how customers search is changing. X2 jobs today, both found me using AI, one from Gemini, and one from Deepseek. hamesandsonslocksmiths.co.uk #locksmith #locksmiths #hamesandsonslocksmiths

Not a bad view while working! ☀️🔑 Carried out some work at the Wye College development - what stunning properties. Definitely one of the nicest developments we’ve visited in a while. 🏡 hamesandsonslocksmiths.co.uk #locksmith #hamesandsonslocksmiths #lockreplacement #lockupgrade

Obviously, 1 Yale lock wasn’t enough! Spotted this today in Faversham- two Yale night latches on one door! Safe to say, that’s not a setup we see every day. Just remember: when it comes to security, it’s not always about more locks… it’s about the right locks.

One key for multiple doors? Yes please. Recently fitted these 3⭐ APECS anti-snap locks for a customer in Whitstable, all keyed alike, so one key opens multiple doors. 🚪🔑 More security, less key clutter. Simple. Need a lock upgrade? 📞 07713 118306 #Whitstable #Locksmith

As the weather is getting hot, you may find it difficult to lock your door due to your uPVC door dropping out of alignment. Don’t force it! You can break the internal gearbox, costing you more money 💰 Hamesandsonslocksmiths.co.uk

Today I had a returning customer. The last time I worked for them was 10 years ago. Different lock. Different problem. Same customer. When people keep your number for a decade and call you back when they need a locksmith, that means a lot. #hamesandsonslocksmiths

Lockout call in Herne Bay today 🚨 The tenants hadn’t lost their keys. The night latch had failed, causing the snib to drop and deadlock the door from the inside. A good reminder that lockouts aren’t always caused by lost keys—sometimes the lock itself is the problem.
