Normally I don't post about my personal connection to any one tragedy but this is different. I want everyone to know how much @AzizAlghashian means/meant to so many. I think he gave every one of us the sense that he was our special, singular friend, he cracked us all up...
It's absolutely impossible to believe that @AzizAlghashian, a dear friend and a beloved colleague is gone. Aziz took part in @ROPESorg summits in Baku and Bucharest, and joined our network out of belief that peace is the only way to live in the Middle East. We laughed and cried, and dreamt about different future.
He had a great sense of humor, he was a gentle soul, he used to be a great researcher and it's crazy that I'm writing about him in past tense.

We authored an op-ed together with @nivine_S of ALLMEP about our shared vision for peace. May it be his legacy.

I can't believe Aziz @AzizAlghashian has been taken from us. A gentle soul who never let his friends down, and a brilliant mind we will miss dearly.
