sultan going from cto to ceo at altschool and launching degrees the same day
same uk university, same lecturers, same bsc for under £15,000 instead of £30,000. that kind of pricing changes a whole family's plans. congrats to the team 🙏

Anytime I meet an AltSchooler anywhere in the World, I'm excited about the mission we started 5 years ago, but now my watch is over, and I'm passing the baton to @hackSultan to lead the company into the next phase.
Congratulations, Sultan, and I look forward to supporting you and the team.
After 5 years of building @AltSchoolAfrica with @AdewaleYusuf_ and @opeawo, today I’m officially stepping down as CTO and moving into the CEO role.
The goal is to provide global education to Africans at an affordable cost. Instead of going to the UK and spending £30,000 to get a degree, you can attend the same university through AltSchool for less than £15,000.
Same school, same lecturers, same BSc.
Equal value. Equal access. Local pricing.
I’m officially launching our degree programmes on degree.altschoolafrica.com, and over the next few months, you’ll see more global universities join the AltSchool network.
Welcome to the edX of Africa.

JUST IN: Adewale Yusuf has stepped down from his position as the CEO of AltSchool Africa. The company says co-founder Akintunde Sultan will take the reins going forward, as it enters a new era.
AltSchool Africa launched in October 2021 under Africa talent recruitment startup TalentQL, when Adewale Yusuf, alongside co-founders Akintunde Sultan and Opeyemi Awoyemi, decided to build a supply pipeline of junior engineering talent as the tech ecosystem began to take shape.
The difference between the rich and the poor is not in how much they have, but in how much they can borrow.
