Do you ever wonder what Merriweather's gift would have been if Maleficent didn't swoop in and curse Aurora? #SleepingBeauty
TIN that instead of journaling, I've been writing extended Reddit posts about things bothering me in my life that I had no intention of posting.
I used to think "god, that was a waste of time," but now it's an act of catharsis. #selfcare #journaling
Hot take: It's not "motherhood" that's the problem. It's the societal brainwashing.
If you put the same amount of time into your kids as you did into that report for your boss due Monday, you'd feel more fulfilled in your role as a mother. S,NS.
Nine years ago in a bar a drunk guy called me a "gypsy witch" and accused me of trying to steal his watch. It has since become my whole personality.
It's a real vibe.
I love how jobs applications be like "hey, send me previous decks you've worked on" like I'm supposed to send them proprietary information created in shared drives that I no longer have access to...
Hearing people fall all over themselves defending AI is like if the creator of Cliffsnotes said, "the interaction with Cliffsnotes means you'll be BETTER at reading comprehension by not reading the book." 🙄
Oh no...my finished manuscript just shook me out of my delusion and said "hey, I need at least three more chapters, dude."
Never Finished...#thestruggleisreal
Am I the only one out here writing on Pages or Google Docs because I'm not giving into Microsoft dominance of writing platforms?
Like...I would rather etch my book into a stone wall than pay for Word.
As an unpublished author with a finished manuscript, is it weird that I kind of want to finish my second before publishing either?
Am I stalling, or is it just good planning have two books circulating?

Question for the #selfpublishing authors out there:
where did you find your editor, and how did you know they were right for you?

#WritingCommunity Question of the Day: How do you feel about abstract titles: intriguing or annoying??
Totally fictional example: a novel about a city called 'Falalaistan' - book is titled 'Falalaistan,'
Or make the title accessible like: 'The City on with all the Ghosts'.
#WritingCommunity question: Hire an editor or rely on the notes & edits caught by your bookish Betas?
Both my beta readers have told me my manuscript is excellent…
I am immediately distrustful and believe they have made a mistake somehow (or) are just trying to be nice.

I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to come up with a clever tweet because I've been told building a #writerscommunity following is important...but I keep failing miserably.
#writerscommunity Moving forward, all query rejections will be interpreted as an attempt to "censor" my book...
This way it's an anti-authority work of counter-culture instead of "not the right fit."

I toiled over the opening line of my new novel to the point where I couldn't do any additional writing. Two nights ago, it came to me. It's so boring, but so perfect.
"Elmore sat in the stable with Calliope, her hoof on his knee."
If I were ever super rich, I would start a company whose sole purpose was to employ contractors for 1 year at 100K salary and their sole job would be to pursue their passion for 1 year. It would be totally unprofitable but imagine the art....
