Friends don't let friends continue to give exams and papers that are not adapted to the current AI landscape (this is AFTER 27 bailed so the reality is even worse)

Next Tuesday I'll be at @Saar_Uni, discussing the role of human scientists in the age of AI.

I do not think "all intellectual labor will done", but I do think that AI will cause major disruptions. There's always been good and bad reasons to engage in intellectual work, and AI will make the bad reasons infinitely worse. davidbessis.substack.com/p/l…

We ran a hackweek in our quantum hardware lab. Rule: build something you don't know how to build, using AI tools. Computer vision fiber alignment, a MEMS-locked mechanical watch, hand-drawn-to-GDSII, browser-based circuit simulators ... all in ~2 weeks

My warmest possible congratulations, Alain Aspect, Anton Zeilinger, and John Clauser, for winning this - much deserved- @NobelPrize in Physics. You have shown the world that quantum foundations and technology go hand in hand. #NobelPrize
My bet for the @NobelPrize in Physics this year: Anton Zeilinger and Alain Aspect for quantum foundations (in particular experiments to Bell's theorem).
