I'm helping to launch a new community-owned grocery store, and today we're starting our membership drive. Over 100 people already have bought their shares to make this a reality for our communities just west of Boston, are you next? charlesriverfood.coop/join

I know of too people waiving inspections on very competitive million-dollar house offers. Home inspections should be mandated by the state to protect home buyers @cindycreem @RepKayKhan
Maybe I'm missing something but how can something that loses 1/2 its value in 6 months be a good store of value? #BTC

What does it mean that all these apparently successful entrepreneurs prefer spending loads of time talking/bragging about their successes on Twitter instead of continuing doing what they're so great at? (only 25% snark)

Is it a nod to how valuable a Twitter audience is? Is it that duplicating success is difficult and every success includes significant luck? Is it just ego competitions? Basically, if you build 8-figure businesses, why are you trying to build a Twitter following?

That being said, I've loved threads about true failures and low points by entrepreneurs and lessons learned. They're powerful when humble.

My wife and I have used Paprika Recipe Manager for years now to grocery shop, save recipe, and meal plan. It's the most I've ever spent on an app, and I have no regrets. I can't recommend enough that you jump on their #BlackFriday sale paprikaapp.com

Hey @linear, big fan here. Question - a card that was in the October cycle but is completed on the first day of the November cycle gets marked permanently as November, screwing up the points accounting. Why can't we back-date to a cycle? Is there another solution?

2nd time on chat w/ @Sonos support. "You need to reset your internet, but we won't get disconnected". I reset my internet, and the chat of course says "you don't have internet, your chat session is done". I reconnect to support chat and get a new person "I can't transfer you.."

I'm thousands of $$ into Sonos, otherwise I'd just give up at this point, it's not worth hours of consecutive weekends.

If only @Sonos didn't leave S1 for dead. Again, that's not "support". You can't make a physical product 100% dependent on an app and then require throwing that product out because you don't want to support the app anymore.
Replying to @Shpigford
@Shpigford really excited to see @MaybeFinance's premise. Similarly I *hate* Mint and wasn't a fan of YNAB, but @lunchmoney_app was finally the app that was built to solve the real problem of (short term) personal finance + budgeting

I'm hoping that Maybe fills the other end of the personal finance spectrum, the long term personal finance tool. Where LunchMoney trumps Mint, I think Maybe can trump PersonalCapital (et al)
Replying to @NotionHQ
@NotionHQ just opened a page with an inline list that has lost several list items. The "Updates" dropdown endlessly spins. This is my weekly work journal. Every week is a new list item. I use it every week, but it says I haven't edited the page since 2/1/21
2
So I guess it has tossed the last month of updates?
Honestly the best $$ I spend on personal finance (Mint/YNAB replacement). I feel great paying for it, to do my part to make sure LunchMoney lives on, so please *don't* enter me in the giveaway 😂
🚨 GIVEAWAY TIME! 🚨 We're celebrating our latest milestone– 1000 happy customers– by giving away 3 lifetime subscriptions! 🪙 Valued at over $200 🌏 Open to anyone– trialing, existing & future users 📢 Follow @lunchmoney_app, like and RT to enter Ends Mar 3, 23:59ET

Recent Trump irony #1: Much of Trump's money is in hospitality - hotels, golf courses, etc. Hospitality is getting slammed by COVID. Alternatively, Trump could have saved his investments if he actually tried to battle COVID.

Recent Trump irony #2: The GOP's Georgia run-off election strategy was to lean into election fraud conspiracies. Alternatively, They had a better chance of winning if they pitched GOP control of the Senate to balance Democrats in the House and White House.
If a rep or senator acted and bullshitted like they do in any other job, they'd be fired immediately. No one's got time for the nonsense - except in Congress. They bullshit to keep their jobs. If they were term-limited, they might prioritize the job they were elected to do.
