My opponent and her rich donors are going after a four-month college internship, and trying to make it look like I had a cushy lobbying job. It was a college internship where I worked in the mailroom. After graduating, I then spent a decade in the Army. My entire career has been in the army.

House Speaker Mike Johnson said he intends to serve as GOP leader if Republicans lose their House majority in November — but he remains bullish about the party's chances despite significant headwinds.
"In the unlikely scenario where we lost the majority, I would expect my colleagues would ask me to continue leading this conference, even if we have divided government," Johnson told CBS News' Robert Costa in an interview near Johnson's hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana.

I don’t often write about myself, but today I shared something deeply personal: my experience fighting cancer while continuing to do a job I love.
Cancer tried to make my world smaller. I was determined not to let it.

I miss the way college sports used to be. I miss the Bobby Bowden era.
Back then, a football coach had to feel like a father figure. Moms and dads needed to believe the man on the sideline would help raise their sons, not just recruit them. The money was not on display. Players stayed. They became a team over three or four years, not a roster assembled for one season.
That loyalty is gone. The highest bidder wins. Chemistry is an afterthought. The @NCAA has failed.
