A first Friars gig in High Wycombe for nearly 43 years is set for Friday 13th November 2026. The Dung Beatles will play a selection of songs from the career of #TheBeatles. Fantastic musicianship with no backing tapes. I hope up and coming acts get a chance at this venue too 🙏
As indicated in an earlier post, High Wycombe Town Hall could be hosting regular live music again. Wycombe Swan have revealed the space has had a 'makeover'. It's understood the interior has been painted black. No dates announced yet, so we wait & see #LiveMusic #Buckinghamshire

David Bowie - The Supermen Three minutes plus of ominous, operatic thunder. Sounding like the end of the world, or the beginning of another; it’s almost like something enormous is being summoned. 1970.

John, Paul and George on the Champs-Elysees in Paris, January 15, 1964. Ringo isn't missing by accident. Fog had grounded him in Liverpool, and he didn't make it to Paris until later that day. So the other three went for a walk down the avenue with a pack of British press photographers in tow, George and Paul carrying cameras of their own, until people started recognizing them and they headed back to the George V. That night all four played a warm-up show in Versailles, and then came 18 days at the Paris Olympia. 🎸 Did you know Ringo missed the first day in Paris? 🎸 👇️

Noel Redding, Jimi Hendrix and Mitch Mitchell at Gered Mankowitz's studio in London, March 1967. Noel had come to town to audition as a guitarist for Eric Burdon's new Animals, and Chas Chandler talked him into playing bass for Jimi. Mitch came over from Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames, which was funny, because the band Jimi had been fronting in New York the summer before was called Jimmy James and the Blue Flames. Eight days after this session, "Purple Haze" came out, and before the month was over, Jimi had set his guitar on fire for the first time, at the London Astoria. 💜 Noel Redding or Mitch Mitchell: who's the more underrated member of the Experience? 💜 👇️

T. Rex (October 18, 2025) Bolan's Zip Gun Bug Glasses Baby Blue Vinyl Album The 50th Anniversary edition was produced for National Album Day 2025 and its Rock-themed celebration. The reissue reproduces John Kosh's original die-cut "peek-a-boo" sleeve design for the first time on a vinyl reissue. The "Bug Glasses Baby Blue" vinyl colour was chosen to reference the distinctive eyewear worn by Marc Bolan on the reverse sleeve artwork. Although initially misunderstood by some critics, the album has gradually been reassessed as a significant and influential late-period T. Rex release.
