If you have served in public education for 20 years or more, this post is for you. You are part of the roughly 28% who entered public-school teaching and were still in the profession two decades later. So for the veteran teachers and staff who have served for 20 years, 25 years, 30 years, and beyond, this is to celebrate you! You have endured some of the most difficult changes education has ever faced. You witnessed standardized testing grow into an overwhelming system of high-stakes pressure, excessive data collection, and constant documentation. You adapted to new standards, new technology, new programs, and an endless cycle of initiatives. You carried students and families through COVID, even while facing your own fears, losses, and uncertainty. You have watched respect for educators decline while expectations continued to rise. You have been asked to do more with less, solve problems you did not create, and meet needs that extend far beyond the classroom. And yet, you continued to show up. You taught the lesson again. You encouraged the struggling student. You supported the overwhelmed colleague. You welcomed the nervous parent. You kept schools functioning during some of the toughest years education has ever experienced. Most people will never fully understand what it takes to dedicate decades of your life to serving students, families, and communities. They will never know how many evenings, weekends, personal dollars, and pieces of your heart you have invested. There are adults walking through the world today who are stronger, wiser, and more confident because you once believed in them. To every teacher and staff member who has served for 20 years or more: Thank you for your dedication. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for your wisdom. Thank you for caring for our children. Thank you!

Warner on CBS: I was embarrassed that the president went before our country and networks like yours carried this as news as opposed to a rehash of falsehoods. It is incumbent upon you and any responsible journalist to pushback on this.

At a time when millions of Americans are finding it harder to pay for groceries, housing and healthcare, when the climate crisis is causing record heatwaves and forest fires, Donald Trump felt it appropriate tonight to spew conspiracy theories about the 2020 election. Pathetically, in true authoritarian fashion, he even threatened to revoke the licenses of ABC and NBC because they would not cover his speech. Insane. Too many Americans have fought and died to defend American democracy. All of us, regardless of our political views, must stand together against this dangerous president who is seeking to undermine our Constitution and our basic freedoms.

Two hundred and fifty years ago, a group of Americans signed their names to a piece of parchment and made a promise no nation had ever made before: that we're all created equal, endowed by our Creator with unalienable rights — life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We're the only nation in history built not on ethnicity, or blood, or geography but on an idea. That's always been what makes us exceptional. We chose that path 250 years ago but that’s where the work began, not where it ended. Every generation has had to choose it again. At Valley Forge, at Gettysburg, on the beaches of Normandy, in the streets of Selma. Americans recommitted themselves to the principles on which our nation was founded. Now it's our turn. There's nothing guaranteed about our democracy. We have to fight for it, defend it, and earn it. Over and over, year after year. That's not a burden. That's what it means to be an American. 250 years in, we still haven't fully lived up to those words in the Declaration. But we've never walked away from them, and this July 4, I hope all of us can commit to one thing: that we never will. I don't believe we're as divided as we're told we are. I've bet my whole life on the American people, and I'm not stopping now. Happy 250th birthday, America. Our story isn't finished. Let's keep writing it together.

While Donald Trump spent the day at Mar-a-Lago at his resort, President Obama was serving a Thanksgiving meal to a veterans care home. This is what real leadership looks like 🇺🇸 🇺🇸🇺🇸

After 10 years as Quizizz, we're evolving into Wayground. What started as a simple quiz platform has become something bigger—a place where every student finds their way forward. None of this would exist without the teachers who believed in us. Let's find a way, together. 🩷

I recognize that Twitter was never an educational platform, but it used to be education and teacher-friendly. The platform changes and rebranding to “X” make it harder for educators, schools, and districts to promote and use the platform. #teachertwitter #edchat #njed #edtech

Just because some teachers would rather stay in the classroom than go into administration doesn’t mean they aren’t strong leaders. Many have amazing talents that can benefit your school. Effective administrators value them as experts and help maximize their talents and potential.
