Another arrival to our vernal wetland! This beautiful Spotted Salamander (Ambystoma maculatum) was one of the first to arrive to breed in this particular area.

I was disabled by LongCovid in early 2020. I was mostly bed-bound for the first 2 years. For the last 6 months, I improved a bit, but activity is totally incapacitating. I have cyclical relapses out of the blue. It’s not going away, & I’ve accepted it’s likely permanent.
