Festivals have relied on diesel generators for decades, but that's changing. We're delighted to be partnering with Reading Festival for the first time to power The Ballroom stage with renewable energy from the wind and the sun.

Pleased to be a part of this. We’ve been working with @AEG_Presents over the summer to bring clean power to festivals like @allpointseastuk and @lidofestival , with our fabulous @gridfaeries initiative. Now we get to go further - powering some iconic venues from our wind and sun mills -  a proper green milestone for the world of live entertainment. accessaa.co.uk/aeg-europe-an…

Protecting the Planet x Powering the Main Stage 💚⚡️#LIDOFestival used 100% renewable energy from on-site batteries charged by the wind and sun to power the main stage☀️🌬️ The batteries, supplied by @gridfaeries x @ecotricity, also reduce noise and air pollution from generators, making a better festival experience for fans and Mother Earth. 🌍 #AEGSustainability Read the full @Access_AA article about LIDO’s sustainability efforts: accessaa.co.uk/lido-festival… 📸: @AEG_Presents @lidofestival @gridfaeries @ecotricity @agreenerfuture_

Back in June, for the first time ever, we powered the Arcadia field at Glastonbury Festival with the biggest battery of its kind. We started @GridFaeries with the aim to be a catalyst for change and eliminate diesel from live events. These batteries were at WOMAD Festival last weekend and will power the Massive Attack gig at the end of August. This is the future of how we power festivals – bring the grid in where we can, and where we can't, use batteries...:)
