If you're searching for online programs to aid in your journey of cultivating #qi, beware of @TeviaFeng - White Tiger Gigong
First, I’ll point out the fact that I started practicing, training, learning, cultivating, and living Qigong 12 years ago.

New from 404 Media: someone put facial recognition on Meta's smart glasses to instantly dox strangers. You look at them, sends face to a facial recognition tool. LLM infers name, sends to people site. Gets phone number, address. I've seen it in action 404media.co/someone-put-faci…

Everytime I here the #Crowdstrike situation wasn't a security incident or cybersecurity related...I'm immediately reminded of #PPD41 🤔
Is there new definitions or does everyone kind of just wing it and call it however it relates to their org? 🤷🏿♂️

We must be responsible digital citizens.
To the #HawkTuah girl herself, I just hope she's okay and somehow turns this into a positive situation.
I wholeheartedly believe it was innocent, bless her heart. 🙇🏾♂️
The other part is the PRIVACY ISSUE to be talked about here.

Please be mindful about the whole #HawkTuah situation and remember, there's a lot of people's lives we're dealing with here. We must think:
1. What if we were her right now? (Think-PR)
2. What do we tell our children? We can't shield them from it- it's posted and out here!

Hey just to make something perfectly clear… if you can’t be kind and respectful to people who are different to you, then I don’t wanna know you or be around you. Full stop.

The speculation around the AT&T outage is a fascinating reflection of human psychology:
Cyber people: "It's a cyber attack"
Science people: "It's a solar flare"
Software people: "It's a botched software release"
Network people: "Some tech messed up the BGP config"

A few more thoughts:
- Moralizing loyalty to a job or company is an entirely employer focused mindset.
- This advice perpetuates employers ability to oversell and underdeliver on employee experience / growth without it reflecting poorly on the company.
- Employees don’t need to earn tenure, they need to deliver value + build skills.
- Nobody will give you a trophy or anything tangible for staying in every job for 3-5 years.
- Have agency in your own career.
Fin.

One old motto I've thought a lot about recently is "Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect".
When pursuing a career in video games, I thought about this a lot as if you just grind out games for 12 hours per day. You likely will hit a wall that would quickly be torn down if you just broke the problem apart and "trained". In games, this could mean watching replays to see what you could do better or hyper-focusing on one aspect of the game and accepting you'll lose games in the immediate future but when you play normally you will have become better.
I think this translates a lot into what you see in my videos. I've said it before, but when I started HackTheBox in 2017, I cheated the invite code system to be able to play. I wasn't anywhere near what you see today. One of the main reasons I succeeded is because my videos forced me to.
I often say videos peer pressured me into sticking with HackTheBox. However, they also forced me to reflect on every single machine I was solving. After I did something, I normally spent an equal amount of time (or more) thinking about how to explain it. Which I think was key in "mastering" the material and appearing as this expert whom has done pentesting for countless years.
Even the machines I did not like, I couldn't just trash it. I had to spend time finding aspects I did like, so I could talk about that. The hunting positivity, instead of just saying it was trash I regret doing that, did wonders for keeping me sane and motivated.
Well that was a wall of text. Hope ya'll have a good rest of the week, thanks for reading.
