Walking through a foxtail pine forest in Sequoia National Park. #sierranevada #sequoianationalpark #pacificcresttrail
Perfect Halloween listen: The Claypool Lennon Delirium – Amethyst Realm.
At 5:00 the haze clears — synths and guitars vanish, and Claypool’s bass snarls, demanding answers from the spirit world.
A ghost-love song inspired by a real woman who claimed relationships with spirits!
It’s also been catalogued on r/SongMoments — a growing collection of timestamped “goosebump” moments from songs across genres:

I'm using @smashing_app to discover and curate news about the growing enthusiasm for the open social web movement, and now I have a way to share it! Smashing's new Feed Sharing lets you get my Open Social Web feed on Smashing or merge it into any of your own. 🧵👇

We launched today! @Smashing_App helps you cut through the noise to discover the best articles in your interests. When you want to dive deeper into a story, you can see an overview of all the other sources covering it and ask AI-answered questions to better understand all sides.
Need a way to stay on top of all your interests? Easily find articles personalized to you? Us too, which is why we built Smashing, which is now live! And with AI prompts to “Show all sides” or “Make it funny” for any story. Come help us curate the best of the web at smashing dot xyz. Discover more. Read Smarter. 1/
"Gotta start somewhere" is my most valuable work mantra. Got a complicated project staring you down? Immediately write a bare bones outline as a v1 proposal and get team feedback on it ASAP. It may well end up being wrong, but this is exactly how you move towards it being right.
I’ve been busy working on an important problem: there's more great reading on the web than ever before, but it too often gets lost in the noise. So I'm excited to announce Smashing, a community that's curating the best of the web.
Voted. ✅ In person, since I love the ritual of it, the celebration of democracy, and personally thanking the polling place workers. But I also 1000% support California sending mail in ballots to all registered voters. We need this to be as easy as possible. 🙌
Underrated and amazing, and somehow very much still of the moment: youtu.be/HkgzObf8uVU
Those "We've updated our Terms" emails from products I forgot I ever signed up for: I know they're just a legal obligation, but many of them seem like a missed opportunity to at least briefly say what the product IS and why I should check it out again if I haven't in a while.

Want to build the future of reading articles? If you’re a software engineer with a creative bent (e.g., what, actually, is *everything* that’s possible in, say, a browser extension?), come work with me! polished-house-8a7.notion.si…”
I’m co-founding a new organization with @otown to fix the broken way we read articles online today, and we're looking for a co-founding engineer to join us. medium.com/@otown/why-were-b… (1/4, thread continues… 👉)
Since then, this vision lost its way due to the influence of advertising-based business models, mis/disinformation, gatekeepers, Big Tech control, and more. (3/4, thread continues… 👉)
I believe a community-driven and community-owned approach to this can put us back on track! Want to learn more, or join us on this mission? Check out that post from @otown about the problems we’re tackling: medium.com/@otown/why-were-b…
