❗️Trump's Gaza 'Peace' Board raises questions over arms, illegal settlements, and private profit
A Telegraph investigation published on 10 October has raised concerns over potential conflicts of interest within US President Donald Trump's Board of Peace (BoP), the body overseeing plans for 'post-war Gaza.'
According to the report, several board members are tied to investments linked to Israel's military industry, illegal Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, and business ventures that could financially benefit from the board's work.
Critics cited by the newspaper have described the BoP as a "recipe for kleptocratic oligarchy," arguing that Gaza's future is being shaped by billionaire investors and real estate interests rather than independent diplomats.
Jared Kushner's investment firm, Affinity Partners, backed largely by Saudi, Qatari, and Emirati sovereign wealth funds, holds a stake in Phoenix Financial, which invests in Israeli companies linked to the military. Among them is Smart Shooter, whose AI-powered rifle sights, armed drones, and remote-controlled weapons have been used by Israeli occupation forces in Gaza and recently secured a US military contract worth up to $150 million.
Phoenix also finances companies involved in expanding illegal Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, including firms listed in the UN database of businesses operating in settlements.
The investigation also highlights broader financial ties between the board's members and Gulf investment funds, including Qatari backing for both Kushner's ventures and a new Trump-branded golf resort in Qatar.
Despite these concerns, Kushner and other board members denied any conflicts of interest, insisting their investments are indirect and unrelated to the board's work.
Board of Peace insiders claim preparations for Gaza's post-war administration, reconstruction, an international stabilization force, and a new police force are largely complete, with a renewed US push expected after the Israeli elections and US midterm elections.
For many observers, the Board of Peace has come to symbolize a model that intertwines reconstruction with the same political, military, and financial interests that helped sustain the genocide. With the US-backed ceasefire effectively collapsed and nearly 1,500 Palestinians killed since it took effect, the initiative has become less a path to "peace" than a mechanism for entrenching control over Gaza's reconstruction, resources, and future.

On this day three years ago, journalism icon @AnasAlSharif0 was reporting live on Israel’s saturation bombing of Jabalya in northern Gaza which set dozens of buildings ablaze.
The genocide intent was obvious. The West and Arab regimes enabled this holocaust.

imagine being so universally reviled that you have to manipulate textbooks, churn out Hollywood productions to brainwash the masses, buy up the airwaves and social media platforms, and alter algorithms to limit the proliferation of the truth and put up smoke screens where you can't stop information.
Then, you weaponize antisemitism to silence decent people, you push to pass laws that punish criticism of you, and you install AI audio surveillance in the tent classrooms of children whose lives you've destroyed in order to prevent your victims from speaking ill of you.
You can have more money than God, space lasers and nukes, booby trapped pagers, and endless blackmail material on leaders, but you can't buy humanity. You can't make the world love you, or even tolerate you. You can't make people unsee or unknow. You can't make demons likable.
The world sees you at last, understands how wicked you've always been, and hates you immeasurably. That isn't going away, and you will feel the sting of that hatred more and more.

The phrase "war on terror"contains an embedded absurdity that no one in American political discourse was permitted to name in the years after 2001.
Terror is a method.
You cannot declare war on a method.
You can, however, use the declaration of war on a method as a framework within which to do whatever you want, to whoever you want, for as long as you want, with the permanent justification that the method might appear anywhere at any time.
What the War on Terror actually produced, in documented outcomes:
A conservative estimate of 900,000 direct deaths in the major theaters of war.
38 million people displaced, the largest displacement crisis since World War II.
An expansion of the geography of drone strikes to at least seven countries.
Torture programs operated in black sites, outsourced to countries with even fewer legal constraints.
Abu Ghraib.
Guantánamo, where men were held without charge or trial for over two decades, some of whom were sold to American forces by bounty hunters with no meaningful vetting.
And the terror?
By most counterterrorism scholars’ assessment, the War on Terror increased the global terrorist threat by destabilising the regions it operated in and generating exactly the conditions, foreign military presence, civilian casualties, destroyed state structures, that radicalization requires.
The War on Terror was the most effective terror-generating program in modern history.
Whether by design or consequence, the result is the same.
The bill was paid by civilians in countries whose names most Americans still cannot locate on a map.

Palestinian media and local sources report that Israeli settlers are carrying out provocative patrols and harassment in the Sheikh Ammar area (near the shrine/mosque site) east of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah.
This fits a documented pattern of repeated settler incursions, land plowing/seizure attempts, livestock threats, vehicle attacks, and property damage targeting the same community and nearby areas. Residents describe daily pressure that restricts access to land and creates fear.
These actions occur under occupation in the West Bank, where settler violence has been repeatedly documented by local sources, B’Tselem, and international monitors—often with limited accountability.
