Opus 5.5 helped me build a living breathing clockwork ecosystem that looks like it belongs in a science textbook
Introducing Claude Opus 5.5, the first model in our new Claude 5.5 family. It performs at the level of Claude Fable 5.1 for most tasks, and costs 40% less to run than Opus 5.

Working on the physics in SketchChair for the browser. It’s working pretty well... now if only I could teach that mannequin to sit properly! #cnc #furniture #digitalfabrication #3dprinting

I found a tiny mechanical Stentor reproducing in Machine Cells today! It uses delicate tension wires and pulleys to move, and an impeller to feed!

I'll admit, mornings in our house can be chaotic. Someone always ended up yelling "we're going to be late!" So over the holidays my son and I built a little app. Now my kids can see how much time they have and tick off tasks to earn collectible stickers 🎉

I was surprised at what a difference it's made. I won't say we're never late now, but it's been a huge improvement! My youngest is now reminding me what we need to do 😅 DM or reply if you'd like to try it with your family!

Thrilled to announce our ImpACT4CF study is officially underway! 🎉Testing smart devices that coach and give real-time feedback during CF airway clearance exercises, helping young people breathe easier. Built with an amazing UCL team. #CysticFibrosis #HealthTech #MedTech

I'm pretty happy with how Flowspace's coloring-in engine is feeling, what does everyone think? #flowspace #calmtech #indiehacker

Working on an update to Flowspace today. Turns out AI coding agents have made me soft - this bespoke codebase doesn't care about my Claude Code dependency 😂 #flowspace still love you #openframeworks :) #indiehacker #creativecoding #calmtech

Been sending my wife little hand-drawn notes with this and it’s been surprisingly sweet. It’s a tiny project I left gathering dust for a few years and finally shipped. longhand.io #longhand #sideproject #buildinpublic #indiehacker #relationship

This past weekend I used Claude Code to bring SketchChair back from the dead. It’s surprisingly moving to see an AI help revive old but still-useful software. Makes you wonder how many forgotten projects could come back with a little push.

Love vibe-coding one-off apps as part of a bigger process. Built this for a video project — my kids got obsessed, so we shipped it as an app. 🎈 gravitytype.com

A few quick updates: I just left my job of 10-years in big tech to do my own thing. I'm starting by working with former collaborators on project Fizzyo, creating hardware and software for kids with Cystic Fibrosis.
