The Giants were 1 of 5 NFL teams to regularly practice in the afternoon this summer. It was a training camp unlike anything seen in the Meadowlands since Tom Coughlin.
“He’s going to be clear about what he wants to see regardless of situation, player. That’s what we need.”
“We’re productively intense, whereas in the past, I don’t know that we were always productively intense.”
An inside look at the sweeping changes under John Harbaugh, with exclusive quotes and details: trentonian.com/2026/09/06/he…
“If I can go out there and help the team, I’m going to go do that.”
Andrew Thomas isn’t considering sitting out a game despite his ongoing groin injury.
I also spoke to Tyrone Tracy Jr. about the Giants’ run game struggles and the need to “think outside the box, be a little more creative.” trentonian.com/2026/10/14/he…
Saints' run defense rankings:
31st in expected points added per rush
30th in yards per game (148.8)
26th in yards per rush (4.9)
Unequivocally the softest matchup for the Giants since the Cowboys in Week 1. Need to get the ground game going at home on Sunday.
Burning clock made no sense in that situation, and this still doesn’t explain if the Commanders thought they had a timeout or that the Giants would get another possession.
Certainly seems like one of those.
Dan Quinn on the final posession:
“We wanted to use clock after getting into field goal range. There have been four kicks that have been missed in the game. So, burn some time is the smart call…we got a lot of sh*t to clean up on and trust me everyone in this building starting with me feels that urgency”
Greg Johnson retweeted
Entering today, the New York Giants were 0-230 since 1970 when trailing by 14+ points in the final 8 minutes of regulation.
They're now 0-230-1.
Locker-room reactions after the Giants’ tie vs. the Commanders:
John Harbaugh: “I’m happy it wasn’t a loss and I’m sad it wasn't a win.”
Jameis Winston: “I’m really just grateful that it was a tie … and I’m just grateful that we found a way to persevere and make it a game.”
Abdul Carter: “I felt grateful, honestly. Just grateful.”
Andrew Thomas: “Personally, it feels like a loss. I thought the way our defense played and the way Jameis played, we should have been able to get a win out of that.”
Tyrone Tracy Jr.: “It just sucks cause we had the win in our hands. So, for it to go that way, I think it’s a blessing from God. It’s a miracle that we even get to walk out of here with a tie.”
“I always focus on what my heart desires, and I say this over and over again is my desire is to be the New York Football Giants’ Super Bowl-winning quarterback.”
On Jameis Winston, who bought himself time as the starting QB by saving the Giants from a loss in Washington: trentonian.com/2026/10/11/jo…
Tyrone Tracy Jr. to me after Jameis Winston rallied the Giants to a 27-27 tie in Washington:
"It's just a whole bunch of stuff that people want to talk about as bad, but like, bro, the good outweighs the bad. It overwhelms the bad. So, you have to continue just to keep talking Jameis up, man. Keep talking Jameis up because like, people want to bench him, people want to talk bad about him. But like, at the end of the day, man, that boy is a hooper. He goes out there and plays ball."
Called the veteran QB a "dog," a "great teammate," a "great human," and a "winner."
Jameis Winston: “I’m just grateful that we found a way to persevere and make it a game.” #Giants
John Harbaugh said the plan on the Giants’ last series was to run “straight ahead, downhill” and center the ball before kicking a field goal. He commended Skattebo for playing a “hell of a game” prior to the fumble.
I don't even know what we just witnessed.
That has to be the first time in NFL history that two players on opposing teams (Cam Skattebo and Jayden Daniels) gave away a win in overtime.
Giants 27, Commanders 27 is your final from Landover. Um.
Man. Not even close for Dominic Zvada from 46 yards in overtime. He's missed three field goals today, and now the Commanders are a field goal away from holding on to beat the Giants.
Giants and Commanders go to OT tied at 27.
Giants went 0-2 in OT games last season (at Dallas and at Detroit). They will attempt to finish a big comeback and win in Washington for the first time since 2023.
For all the Giants' offensive ineptitude ... they've somehow tied this game in Washington with 1:43 left.
The John Harbaugh effect, man.
Can the defense get another stop with 1:43 left?
That might be the Giants' worst half of football on offense this year.
2.6 yards per play, 2.2 yards per carry
Winston 7/16 for 72 yards, lost a fumble
Nabers 2 receptions for 27 yards and a pair of drops
Two missed long FGs by Zvada, and Giants trail the Commanders 12-3.
J.J. McCarthy staying on the bench for the Giants' sixth drive. Have to wonder if that might change after halftime...
Jameis Winston recognized the pressure but didn't make a decision quickly enough. Brutal fumble sets up the Commanders at the Giants' 25 with 1:58 left in the 1st half.
Seems like a chicken/egg situation with Giants' offense.
Averaging 1.9 yards per carry is no way to live, but Jameis Winston does not keep defenses honest, either. He's 5-of-10 for 51 yards on 4 possessions.
Commanders getting good penetration now, too. Daron Payne sack.
Interesting decision by the Giants to decline Commanders' holding penalty. Would've been 3rd-and-20 from the 20 and (potentially) a longer field goal on wet grass.
