Holy moly @GeminiApp is unbearable - Doesn't see the 96 files loaded in its conte-- excuse me, "notebook" - Abruptly stops after burning god-knows how much usage, blames the user, doesn't even show partial response - On and on... Almost every session fails No update in sight

@OfficialLoganK Feedback above. I know you care and working hard. So many sharp edges make it hard to like.

No matter what you're launching, you can always make it more interesting by focusing on the "so what" of it. Yes, even an MCP release. Most companies announce their MCPs with a boring bullet point buried inside a changelog. Look at how Flexport did it and the attention it got.
We just gave your favorite AI tools the ability to ship containers between any two places in the world by any mode of transport, including clearing customs compliantly, with Flexport MCP.

Anyone who thinks @typesafeai is screwed doesn't understand the value and durability of brand, momentum, and distribution. A slightly better benchmark score won't get you the venture capital, talent pull, or developer devotion.

Founder-positioning fit… The positioning and messaging of Typesafe is completely bonkers but it might just be the perfect pairing for @CompleteSkeptic. Let’s see!
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev • 20-200x faster • 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free) • Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

Therefore: Ghosting is one of the dumbest things some otherwise smart people do.
Careers are long. And you never know how life re-intersects… The karmic boomerang is real. For good (and for bad). Always why you should do the right thing!

New positioning should have a payback period of 4 weeks or less. Vibes, needs, and landscape change too fast and too frequently to be spending months on wordplay and years on astroturfing (ie, category creation).

Replacing “webinars” with “workshops” gets 3x more people to come, and gets presenters to teach instead of pitching.

- The smarter you are... - The stronger your conviction... - The bigger your ambition... The bigger the gap between what you say about your product and what people want. And until you bridge that gap, everything from selling to recruiting to fundraising will keep feeling far more difficult than it needs to be. The first step is to recognize you probably don’t know what people want. The second step is to throw the old positioning playbooks in the trash. gkogan.co/say-something-peop…

Struck a nerve with XGBoost fans
Yeah lol based on that quote alone you don’t know anything about how data science works.

100% Also, founders overestimate the clarity of their vision. Seems pretty damn clear in their minds but what comes out their mouth is muddled mishmash.
People vastly underestimate how clear founders need to be about vision Laboring every word, repeating 100's of times, presenting it in multiple ways, etc I remember thinking the job was bullshit, but it's not. You need a mind boggling amount of repetition/refinement/etc

This is how you capture an emerging market. By the time most people realize there's a market for "AI transformation," @runlayer is already touting $42M in funding with customers like Instacart and Decagon.
Today, we’re announcing Runlayer has raised $30M from Felicis and Khosla Ventures to help companies go all in on AI. Runlayer is the golden path for AI: enablement, security, and control in one platform. So, how does it give your team the right tools for AI? 🧵

Making of this launch video... — "Ok we thought of 12 interesting ways to explain the product... Which one should we use?" — "Yes"
Today, I'm thrilled to announce Pramaana's $27M seed, led by @khoslaventures. The foundational domains that hold the world together: tax, law, finance, healthcare; all run on certainty. Probabilistic AI can't give them that. We’ve been asked to accept wrong answers with AI as ‘hallucinations’, while in traditional software terms, it’s just a bug. And a wrong answer in such mission-critical domains is more than just a bug, it's a liability that could have catastrophic impact. We built Pramaana to deliver a 100% trustable experience to the domains that run on certainty: AI that is provably correct, not probabilistically correct. We turn statute and regulation into machine-verifiable code, so every output ships with mathematical proof of correctness. Our mission is to make AI take ownership of it’s work. Pramaana in Sanskrit stands for “means of valid knowledge”, and we’re going to achieve that by formalizing the world’s knowledge.

Agents this, AI that... Refreshing to see companies like @podia go all-in on human connections.
There's a question we've been chewing on at @podia for the better part of a year: what happens to creator businesses when content becomes abundant? When AI can create unlimited amounts of it as well as any of us? A lot of platforms look at all this and decide the answer is better AI tools for making content faster. Maybe. But we keep coming back to a different idea. As AI makes content easier and easier to produce, the things it can't produce get more valuable. The conversations. The trust. The act of showing up, week after week, for the people who keep showing up for you. We think the creators who endure won't be the ones who automate all of that away. They'll be the ones who get to do more of it. That's the thinking behind the new Podia, which launched today. I hope you’ll give it a look: podia.com

Introducing Console Inbox: the AI-native service desk that gets better as you use it. Legacy ticketing systems were built to track work, not get the work done. Tickets pile up, context is missing, and teams spend half their day on triage. Inbox represents a fundamental shift. Console’s AI resolves every request it can, end-to-end. When it can’t, tickets land in your Inbox with all the context you need to fix the issue fast. The best part: AI recognizes tickets with recurring patterns and creates new automations so they never become tickets again. This is the future. IT’s time to build. Snyk was once a masterful example of what I call proxy positioning: Messaging to one audience to actually appeal to another. They won devs to better sell to security. Sadly, today they're an example of what I call analyst-brained positioning: Unleash! Fabric! Intelligent layer!

Startups waste so much time & energy on site pages without stopping to think if they're needed. One-product companies don't need a product page. The homepage _is_ the product page. Details can be found in the docs. Whoever made new @braintrust site gets this. Many don't.

I expect agents will continue relying in large part on social proof when choosing tools. Both from trusted humans and trusted agents. Question is how they’ll measure it. What’s the PageRank for agents?

Today the best example of proxy positioning is @mercor... Their public materials address experts, but the real message is to AI researchers: "Look, we can convince the world's best experts to label your data."
