Ulefnersen, an experimental treatment for a rare genetic form of ALS that often strikes young people (FUS-ALS), succeeded in its Phase 3 trial. It's the second antisense therapy to show it can change the course of ALS, bringing new hope that more types of ALS can be treated this way!
This journey began with an amazing young woman named Jaci Hermstad, whose courage inspired the drug first named jacifusen in her honor. Only because of supporters like you, have we helped fund the early research that led to today. Jaci passed in 2020, but her legacy lives on in every person this treatment may help.
Ulefnersen is not yet approved. For families facing FUS-ALS, every month counts, and we're urging Otsuka, Ionis, and the FDA to move with urgency so people can get access as soon as possible.
Today, we are thinking of Jaci and her family.

We need to have a serious discussion about how games used to be a unique method to teach kids & teens about patience, delayed gratification, and working hard to accomplish a goal - and now we're designing away the need to persevere at all. You will learn to overcome nothing.
Naoki Hamaguchi says FF7 Revelation will have an option at a certain point in the game to automatically raise your characters level to to recommended level to progress for those that only want to play the main story.
He says he got a lot of feedback from players only wanting to play the main story in Rebirth and skip the side content, that they were under leveled and struggled.
He says he wants players who want to skip the open-world experience to have a similar linear story driven experience to FF7 Remake so they will include an option that pops up at a certain point asking "Do you want to automatically raise the level to the recommended level?"
He says players that don't want to explore the open world and just want to play the main story can select the option to automatically adjust the level.

Two officers with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources set up a sting using a decoy deer in a field next to a road…
They saw a guy just stop and look at the decoy deer. He didn’t shine a light on it; he didn’t shoot at it; just looked at it, and then drove away.
He did nothing illegal. But, he was an irresistible target for the two officers, because his truck was new and expensive; he had valuable gear they wanted for themselves.
He hired a lawyer; she obtained the bodycam, and she was shocked at what she saw. She got the charges dropped and has now filed a lawsuit on his behalf.
I got a chance to interview her and review all of the bodycam footage. It shows an out of control government agency, harassing law abiding citizens and trying to steal their stuff. Full video 👇🏼

When we tried to audit one of the LARGEST city homelessness programs (which happened to be under the Mayor), we got blocked & our budget cut.
We later received a fraud tip in that SAME PROGRAM & launched a fraud investigation which amounted to $23 MILLION & led to an arrest. 🧵

NEW: Justin Szlasa exposed a double-billing scandal with LA homeless services and pressed for stronger audits. He was just demoted by an appointee of Mayor Bass, without explanation.

Georgia audited its own data center tax breaks and found that the state gave up $474 million in sales taxes in one year—and got back just $41 million from the industry. At least 38 states have deals like this. (It's not clear whether all that money the state waived was needed to attract the construction: in Georgia's case, by the state's own estimate, 70% of the data center construction would have happened anyway.)
