Circling back. @grassEcon spent important years on xDai, which later became part of Gnosis Chain. Around the same period, Julio Linares and I were exchanging ideas about demurrage, mutual credit, community currencies, humanitarian aid, and people-created money as @CirclesUBI was taking shape. Years later, Circles has evolved into personal currencies, Groups, a Web of Trust, and social routing. Grassroots Economics has evolved toward Commitment Pooling and Cosmo-Local Credit. The more closely I look, the more I see the two approaches revealing different layers of the same underlying system. A Web of Trust already creates overlapping fields of acceptance. Commitment Pools can make the goods, services, capacities, values, limits, and fulfillment inside those fields more explicit. And Gnosis may provide the rails for connecting them.
