Though I think what made STP so special was how well they blurred the lines between grunge, post-punk, and classic rock. Dean DeLeo does not get enough credit for how good of a song writer he is.
STP was a huge band for me growing up as they were one of my dads favorites. Every time I listen to Np.4 or Shangri la dee da Its like I am teleported back to his car in the early 2000s. With us driving to a guitar center.
Nostalgia is a hell of a drug lmao
One of my favorite experiences is when you go a few years without listening to a band, only to finally give them a spin and fall in love with them again.
God bless Stone Temple Pilots
Why are so many DAWs being turned into ugly garage band look alikes that look like they are meant for literal babies?
After not paying attention to DAW upgrades I went to see what fender has done to Studio One. And holy shit its bad.

I hate to use the term since its been so overused. But talking to corporate coworkers really is like talking to an NPC in a videogame. Just with even less charm and personality.
What makes it worse is "co-worker culture". A bad job can be barrable with the right people. But in corporate its so wacked out. The verbiage, conversations, and overall interactions are all coated in the same plastic as the actual company.
The stereotypes really don't do it justice. Its so much worse when you work for them for a few years and see just how rigged and mismanaged everything is.
Working in corporate really does hollow you out as a person. I felt less dead inside as a warehouse worker.
I maintain my gaming boomer pride. This is so fucking stupid and greedy that it would be funny if it wasn't real.
