GOOD MORNING I AM A USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR!!! 😭😭

I’m ready for NOBODY PANIC! to take over the world!!!
I can’t believe I get to say this but… @people magazine just went live with the exclusive cover reveal for my debut horror novel NOBODY PANIC! plus a cheeky little excerpt! LINK IN BIO! - click to see the cover!
Honestly, my scrappy ‘80s PTA women would be so. freakin’. proud. right now. 👏
This book was born from my lifelong affinity for the 80s, not least the campy horror classics of the era. It’s a tale of adventure, middle-aged misfits, and the unlikely friendships forged during one HELL of a summer. That, and a heartfelt reflection of what it means to be a mom, a wife, and a member of a community, while fighting to stay true to your own gifts…however odd they may seem to others.
A massive and never-ending thanks to my amazing team at @Sourcebooks and my awesome agent @gravity_fail09 for helping get this little book to where it is! And thank you to my wonderful Knifecats Street Team (y’all rock!).

🚨 CNN just accidentally said the quiet part loud on live television:
“We’re not showing you that because the Israeli government doesn’t allow us — or want us — to show where that may have come from.”
A major American news network just admitted on air that a foreign government is controlling what you see.
Not suggesting it. Not implying it. Confessing it.
Speaker Johnson calls Islam a misguided religion from the House floor. The CIA arms Kurdish militias for regime change.
And now CNN confirms Israel is managing the visual narrative of a war American taxpayers are funding with their lives and $220 million a day.
You are not seeing the full picture. By design.

LINDA DAVIS WAS KILLED IN A CAR CRASH DURING AN ICE CAR CHASE. THIS WAS PREVENTABLE. THEY DID NOT HELP HER. THEY LET HER DIE. SAY HER NAME.
From the moment I read Starla’s opening pages, I was HOOKED!

✨ UK COVER REVEAL ✨
The cover for the UK edition for my book - a story about a Palestinian haunted house that fights back against its occupiers, and the three generations of Palestinian women who are connected to it - is out! Preorder here: linktr.ee/deenahelm
ALT The UK cover for Our Cut of Salt, which depicts the title on the top half on a beige background. The bottom half shows the bottom half of a woman's face, overlaid with windows and doors, and shaded in red as the top part of her face crumbles. On the side is Palestinian embroidery in the colors of black, green, and red.
Hi queriers! I'm planning on doing a deep dive into my submissions inbox in March and will hopefully be able to get back to everyone before summer.
I'm open to queries from marginalized authors only and am not sure when I'll reopen to queries this year.
