On his last data collection day at our operation. The fancy unit in the truck measures greenhouse gas emissions.

My little buddy and his handiwork this morning…

Finished haying last night. #easywayout

Pasture peas. Glad he missed the grazing cage. We will pull some yield differences from the cages in the next few days.

Frame of reference

Forage Peas and Fall Rye. Hard to believe a crop 6” tall can make a 25’ swath up to the bottom of the truck windows. We are leaving the green spots as our swather guy has indicated they are uncuttable. #cowchow #MillbornSeeds

Half done haying this morning and the chimney sweep came by…

Sorting and declaring some bulls this morning under supervision. #hawkeye

Pulling bulls today. A bit late, but I don’t think a 50 day breeding season will be the end of the world.

Sub optimal tire pressure adjustment.

Barley and faba beans dropping today…

New floor mats are in.

Swathing our Complete Annual blend from Millborn Seeds. 25’ swaths, no fertilizer, healthy soil and rain…

Midnight mulching and some pipeline draining…

I bet that hurt…

Heifers today pulling bulls. 1 more to find…

A sampling of the young bred cows we will have on offer this fall. Many coming 4 year olds in the group. Bred starting June 7. Express verified, low maintenance cow herd.

Multi-mulchers in the moonlight

We will be offering a package of approximately 30 young bred females this fall. We will also have a couple of matriarchs available from our program. Stayed tuned for photos and further details.
