Looks like this one is nearly over the line now. #AVFC

📊📉@AVFCOfficial January Transfer Profiles Part 2. Central and Defensive Midfielders Yves Bissouma | Brighton | 25 | £22.5m ✅Mobile, no frills box 2 box CM, regains possession, positionally aware, interceptions & tackles, ball carrier. ❌Off field issues, not creative, fouls.

📈📊Very quick thread on the shape of #AVFC vs Chelsea on Sunday. Villa were set up in a 4312 with a wide diamond in midfield when in possession, as seen below, with Sanson & Ramsey the wider CM’s Luiz at the base and Emi at the tip behind the CF’s Watkins and Ings. 1/4 #AVFC

@AVFCOfficial v @ManCity | @premierleague 1/12/21 Villa were compact in central areas trying to force City out wide. City’s average positions are so on point and it’s clear from this what Pep means when he says players in specific positions are so important. #AVLMNC

@CPFC v @AVFCOfficial | @premierleague 27/11/21 High volume passing from Ward and Olise for Palace and also amongst the rest of the back four. Villa the complete opposite. Narrow shape from #avfc forcing #palace out wide but the latter figured out the former too late. #CRYAVL

@Arsenal v @AVFCOfficial | @premierleague 22/10/21 A pretty good shape overall for Arteta’s side. Most of us weren’t entirely sure what Villa’s second half game plan was i think its fair to say. An away day to forget for #avfc that much is true.

@SpursOfficial v @AVFCOfficial Another week and another different attempt at a decent looking layout viz wise 😉. Weird shape from #avfc for a 352 and that gap from Konsa to Cash is horrific tbh. Guess which side Son was playing on?! #AVFC #TOTAVL
