A big part of our success in the Nebraska AG's office is the elite talent we have been able to recruit and retain.
Like any talent pipeline, you try to get great people, and you hope many stay and develop long-term careers at your organization, and then others who go on to do great things in other roles.
Eric is our first alum who is going on to be a federal judge, but we have many amazing people who are, or have been, at our office.
If you want to develop your skills, make an impact, and build your career for the future, come join us!!

This is good. This is the equivalent of not letting banks give $900,000 home loans to people who work as part time silkworm influencers.
Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/NmmAzhf

Parents who hand their kids to commercial day care get subsidy payments, while parents who bear the toil, expense, and opportunity cost of raising their kids at home currently get ZERO. It’s illogical and unjust and this proposal would level the playing field.
Critically, the stay at home benefit for two-parent households would be specifically tied to marriage because of course it should. Our government provides better treatment to marriage all over law and policy because marriage, on average, provides better treatment to kids.
My @heritage colleagues and I offered a quite similar married, home child care proposal in our family policy Special Report from January. See below.
I commend the full report to anyone who cares about this issue as it lays out the full what, why, and how of supporting marriage and family in policy and culture.
🚨 BREAKING: The Trump administration is reportedly drafting a plan pushed by JD Vance to give federal child care funds to married couples with a STAY-AT-HOME SPOUSE while the other parent works — NYT
The program could be $9K per year for these families
The goal: make it easier for married Americans to let one parent take care of the children, rather than both work and pay others to take care of the children
This could create an incentive for parents to "stay at home with their children"
Apparently, this is similar to a MARCO RUBIO proposal when he was Senator 👀
It sounds like this would be under current federal programs, not new laws passed by Congress
Tip to the prosecutors for the next Clancy voir dire: Ask whether each juror had, or facilitated, an abortion. That’s quite the benign question in Massachusetts where it’s legal until birth.
The fundamental problem with any sort of insanity defense is that a criminal’s mind, when he commits a criminal (and also immoral) act, is always mentally disordered. A man’s mind is not rightly ordered if desires to kill innocent life, take things he has no right to, etc…

Oh no; here we go.
A 38-year-old woman, Corie Walsh, has been arrested after she allegedly murdered 2-year-old son by hanging him in a basement after calling him the “Anti-Christ”, then tried to harm herself.
Prosecutors say she was heavily interested in the Lindsey Clancy trial & had been talking about it in a group chat just hours before she allegedly murdered her son.

“the establishment clause does not require religious restrictions on charitable programs. The government may engage religious institutions to deliver civil services as it has done historically; that does not impermissibly establish a religion and it does not coerce anyone.”

The issue isn’t that the universities won’t admit to being progressive seminaries. (Does anyone not realize what they are?) It’s not a consumer disclosure issue. The real problem is substantive: progressivism is bad, it has injected poison into the body politic for decades, and universities should be ordered to the good, the true and the beautiful.
"We propose that universities that are committed to progressive policies simply say so."
In a new @washingtonpost op-ed, HxA President John Tomasi and Harvard Professor Tyler VanderWeele encourage progressive schools to model themselves after religious colleges.
"They should tell students, faculty and the public that, like religious colleges, they have opted to teach and pursue knowledge through a particular lens: roughly, the lens of progressive politics."
Exactly right
You do not need to own a house to get married, you do not need to own a house to have children. You can have a loving family in a variety of circumstances. People act like renting a place is having stage four terminal cancer.
The overwhelming majority of our ancestors had children in what we would describe as extreme poverty to say the least. People psych themselves out and eliminate themselves from the game for no good reason at all, because they think they “need” XYZ to start a family when they don’t at all.
I assure you it’s more than possible, I have done it.

A growing part of the right says young people are delaying marriage because they can’t afford to buy a house and establish financial security first.
Yes, housing really is too expensive. But history tells a different story.
Most young Boomer newlyweds were renters. Today's newlyweds are more likely to own at the same point.
Yet far fewer young people marry by the same age.
For generations, marriage was part of how ordinary people built a life. Now we increasingly treat marriage as proof you've already built one.

It’s about time! Congrats, AG Blanche!
I am deeply honored by the trust and confidence President Trump has placed in me to lead the Department of Justice as our great nation’s 88th Attorney General.
I am grateful to the Senate for staying late to complete this process.
To the dedicated public servants of the Department of Justice, thank you for your work each day to uphold the law and keep our country safe.
