!!!NEW PREPRINT!!!
When do adolescents reach adult levels of executive function?
We used FOUR independent datasets (N>10,000), behavioral data from 17 distinct EF tasks, and nonlinear modeling techniques to address this and related questions. 🧵

Acute stress-induced CORTISOL reactivity PREVENTS successful suppression-induced FORGETTING of video clips. with @s_m_ashton

THANKS to the reviewers and to @PNECjournal for the quick review process. #openaccess doi.org/10.1016/j.psyneuen.2…

ALT Participants repeatedly retrieve or suppress memories of previously learned cue-target video clips to mimic the complexity of episodic memories. Results on the subsequent memory test revealed that, while the no-stress controls and cortisol non-responders demonstrated suppression-induced forgetting, this effect was absent in cortisol responders.
