I wrote (and drew) a book! I'm thrilled to announce THE YEAR I STOPPED DRAWING, an illustrated novel-in-verse about losing your creative voice—and finding it again. Coming this fall from @ABRAMSbooks.
Which cover would you choose?

We report: in the past few days, we have come to the conclusion that our favourite pair of shoes is no longer waterproof. Upon close examination, we have noticed a gap between the midsole and the outsole of our left shoe. In the meantime, the clouds have kept on getting taller.

ALT Digital painting of a bright, sunny blue sky, partly covered in large storm clouds. They are dark grey where they are shrouded in rain and shadows, and bright white where the sun hits them. One of the lighter clouds is wispy, rising high over the landscape. There are trees in the distance, and a series of sunlit roofs in the lower left corner of the frame.
The Year I Stopped Drawing comes out next month from @abramskids!

Itō Jakuchū's 'Frog' of 1790 for me is the iconic image of numbed uncomfortable bafflement at the predicament of existence in the coming modern world, much as Munch's 'Scream' expressed it through horror.
