I feel this is where Passivhaus let’s us down. In the pursuit of a magic number clients are unable to use products such as wood fibre and have to accept nasty and unsustainable petrochemical based insulation. Performance over substance. OK, WE KNOW IT'S JUST INSULATION BUT.. why use non-renewable resources to make flammable, petrochemical, high carbon insulations which emit toxic VOCs, end up in landfill, irritate builder’s lungs and trap moisture leading to mould? @The_Lighthouse @EdCentreCC #CircularEconomy
