Huge Christmassy thanks to everyone who came out for last night’s Street-level Santa event @stowtradeshall
One takeaway - we NEED to start a campaign to get Lawrence a cameo on @emmerdale - who’s in?! 🐑

We asked @Willjhodgkinson and Lawrence to sign a few extra copies of everyone’s book of the year - Street-Level Superstar and these are at @WaterstonesE17 - it’ll make an impact excellent Christmas present. 🎁 🎄

The best books of 2024 gave us unique perspectives on what it’s like to experience the world in all its sorrow and wonder. Here’s our top ten, including ‘Martyr!,’ by Kaveh Akbar, and Yasmin Zaher’s ‘The Coin.’ vulture.com/article/best-boo…

Rough Trade have been amazing supporters of Street Level Superstar so it was great to be a part of this. And just found out how hard they work. Apparently they have in store events almost every night!
Retrospective, our annual year-end Limited Edition zine celebrating some of our favourite bits from 2024.
Featuring interviews with SOPHIE (@msmsmsm_forever)'s brother, producer @Willjhodgkinson, plus content from Netherlands-based creatives Very Goods Studio.
Free in-store.
After a very special couple of years at @WeAreFootnote and @bonnierbooks_uk, I start a new job this week working on partnerships + events at @TheSchoolOfLife - hmu if you fancy working together I'm on grace.h@theschooloflife.com x

Ahead of the final episode of ‘24, revisit the perennial Christmas Back to Now for the perennial Christmas compilation! With author of the year, @WadeyWade and yes, there is a lot of 1984 here too!
The pre-festive links and all other episodes!

This is such sad news. James was a good friend. I loved his writing. He helped me (and many others) access life changing support for OCD. There’s a fundraiser here which will help continue that task - justgiving.com/crowdfunding/… - big love to Kat, family and friends x

Thanks to @Willjhodgkinson for this conversation about process, fame vs success and the unique brilliance of Lawrence (@Mozart_Estate).

BOOK OF THE YEAR #1
Journalist, author and music writer @Willjhodgkinson
captures how sometimes a story of perseverance can be more inspiring than a story of success in 'Street-Level Superstar', a passionate biography about Lawrence of @Mozart_Estate.

Our Book of the Year changes how we think about music memoirs...it tells us what it is to be creative and sustain this over a long period, and of a particular indefatigable individual who will go further than anyone else...
