If someone were to say we must mourn members of the Nazi Party who lost their lives alongside the victims of the Holocaust they’d be rightfully derided. But for Palestinians, they cannot have a moment in which their lives are not tied to their colonizers, even in death.
Zohran Mamdani: “I believe there must be room to mourn every single life. There must be room to mourn the lives of the more than 1,100 Israelis that Hamas killed three years ago. There must be room to mourn the 74K Palestinians the Israeli government had killed since. What I so appreciated about being at the vigil yesterday evening, as I had been the year before, is that it was a vigil that brought together New Yorkers to read testimonies of their own family members, of others who’ve been killed either on the day or in the genocide since and ends with a shared vision for peace and for an end to the genocide”

jewish supremacist cockroaches attack a father and his children then steal his car. the children are terrorized, the man's car is gone forever. there is no recourse. this is the "jewish state," the most abominable manifestation of fascism humanity has known. may their colonial enterprise be wiped off the map once and for all.

Europeans have been doing this depravity to indigenous peoples for hundreds of years.
An Israeli real estate ad on Facebook is promoting "Anglo communities" in Ofarim, an illegal settlement built on stolen Palestinian land of Aboud town and al-Lubban al-Gharbi village west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
The ad aims to attract English-speaking settlers to double the population of the illegal settlement, which drains water and resources from nearby Palestinian villages and towns.

Women who resist rape are punished so disproportionately because men understand that rape is the lynchpin of their social power, and they will go to any lengths to defend it.

we don't talk about the horrors done by european countries enough
In 1993, this photo of Belgian soldiers holding a Somali boy over an open fire shocked the world.
The soldiers were in Mogadishu as part of the UN-authorized Operation Restore Hope, supposedly there to protect Somalis and deliver humanitarian assistance.
The photograph became evidence in a military prosecution.
And what happened next was even more shocking.
In June 1997, a Belgian military court acquitted the two soldiers, Claude Baert and Kurt Coelus, of assault, battery and threats.
Their defence?
They claimed it was merely a “game.”
The court accepted that there was insufficient evidence that the boy had suffered bodily harm or that his life had been threatened.
The prosecution appealed.
In December 1997, the acquittal was confirmed.
Imagine being the Somali child in that photograph.
Imagine watching the men who held you over a fire walk free because a court decided there was insufficient proof that you had been harmed.
This is part of the history that disappears when Western military interventions in Africa are remembered only through the language of “peacekeeping” and “humanitarianism.”
