Dear Microsoft, when I hit the Windows Start menu key and start typing a word to autocomplete a search, I never, ever, EVER want it to return results of something not on my computer. Ever. Like, ever, ever, never.

From a Sunderland fan: to hell with the Wear/Tyne rivalry on this occasion. This is utterly fucking beautiful and a very moving and powerful tribute to a true great. ❤️

Being Anti Data Centers if you’re on social media or in the entertainment industry or in gaming is beyond ignorant. For all intents and purposes you may as well be anti electricity. I worked in web hosting for nearly a decade and with an on-site data center. You have been benefiting from the OLD data centers that were wildly inefficient by comparison… for 3 decades with barely a complaint! You literally bought into a hoax about water usage that MIT… yes that MIT already debunked… Because a bunch of politicians and celebrities told you to be mad and the current thing (AGAIN)… New data centers use less and are better for the environment than the same tech you’ve been quietly using in the background for 30 years… And you’re being duped because the work “AI” is the new psyop… Stop falling for the “current thing”. You should know better by now. When celebrities and politicians have largely consolidated on that issue… be skeptical when they try to mobilize people and assume you’re being duped…

NEWS: The work mileage allowance for under 10,000 miles will rise by 10p to 55p backdated to April 2026. So this means if you drive for work in your own car (like many care workers for example) you can be given up to 55p a mile tax and NI free. And if you're not given that level you can claim the tax back on the difference between what you're given and that amount Eg so if you're given 30p /mile. You can reclaim tax paid on your wages for the 25p/mile difference.

Shorts should’ve been a separate app. It’s ruined the YouTube experience, every search is flooded with Shorts now.

Big news for anyone who hates cookie notices: We've open sourced Cookiecrumbler, a system that automatically detects these notices across the website and suggests fixes for them.

Don’t share this under any circumstances. Starmer would be upset about it.
“Labour would freeze your council tax” “Not a penny more on your council tax” “No ifs, no buts” Be a shame if we all shared this Labour lie before the local elections. You simply can’t believe anything Keir Starmer says. Don’t vote Labour.

In #Newcastle today, people were lingering outside the now-closed JG Windows store, almost as if paying respects to a departed friend. As with any death, there's a feeling of sadness - and maybe some guilt that you hadn't been good at staying in touch with that friend lately 🙏 – at Dunston, England

Here's some facts; - There are 5.6 million small businesses in the UK. - SMEs account for 99.9% of the business population. - Total employment in SMEs is 16.7 million (61% of the total), - Annual turnover from SMEs is estimated at £2.4 trillion. - 90% of new businesses fail, often resulting in the founders losing all their life savings. - Small/medium businesses are the heart and soul of the British economy. Starting and growing a business takes guts, resilience, and ambition—and it needs to be supported for the economy to thrive. Global corporations employ armies of accountants to minimise or eliminate their taxes. Small businesses don’t have the luxury or budget for that; frankly, most don’t want to. They’re happy to pay their fair share but draw the line when they believe they’re taken advantage of. A vibrant, flourishing economy that's supportive of business will generate far more tax revenue than one that crushes the British entrepreneurial spirit. I truly hope that Rachel Reeves will see sense next week.
