Tom Cruise gave an iconic performance in Digger that will last forever. To all the critics who unjustifiably swung at this film - you are on the wrong side of history. @TheAcademy for once can you please get this right? At least a nomination - it has to happen for Cruise here. He’s simply unbelievable.
IMO the fact Digger is “failing” in revenue will only make it even more legendary down the road.
This polarizing reaction, It’s like a FARCE being revealed from within the farce (movie). like all this happening around the release of this movie it’s part of the efing plot
🤣
Could Digger be the first movie to win an Oscar and a Razzie at the same time?
Would be really funny to be honest #digger
It appears funny to me how polarizing are the opinions on the movie Digger. How there are people that truly despise it.
I smile, because that’s also the fucking point! HA!
We just all need Digger to keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep drilling!
PS. my hardest laugh was with kremlinova

Legendary actor Mandy Patinkin has shared a video and some passionate words praising Digger!
"The theater was packed. When it was finished the audience just sat there as the credits rolled.
Stillness. You know how rare that is for people to not jump up and start yammering or scrolling or move on to the next thing?
There was stillness and awe, gratitude and sorrow and astonishment both with the film and this world we have allowed.
This movie being slammed by reviewers is beyond comprehension.
Anyone who is dragging this piece through the mud should get a brain scan or see it again as they must not have been paying attention.
This is one of the most daring, original, provocative pieces of art I’ve seen and bravo to every person that laid a hand on it.
I’d have given my right arm to be an extra in this movie (I’m right handed).
This craft, like many other things nowadays, feels in peril. The systems at play encourage mass appeal above all else.
Digger is a battle cry for art, for waking up, for demanding an actual attention span of your audience and for the miracle of having a point of view.
To horrify, delight, wildly surprise repeatedly and inspire us to fight for our world before it’s too late is an incredible accomplishment.
Don’t listen to rotten tomatoes. Find an actual person who saw this movie. Listen to them.
Tomato tomaaato! F*%k that stupid nonsense percentage bulls$/t. It’s so dumb. Go see this movie.
Thank you @diggerthemovie!"

Guillermo del Toro: “Be very angry about how the world is being fucked, how your craft is being pulled away from you, how people are trying to move you away from the arts and tell you they’re not important. Be angry that things are being controlled by socially barely functional people that have a lot of money. Be angry about something. Be enraged about something” (Video: anakinspadawan / TikTok)

Replying to @Pontifex
I use AI to help illustrate my children’s books. Does that make the art bad? I set the style and scene, then make edits on the image as needed. I would not be able to publish them otherwise.

There is no legitimate reason at all why AI has to be specifically programmed to be indistinguishable from human beings. They are making the choice to program it so that you can see her breathing and blinking. She even stumbles over her words. I challenge anyone to come up with a single scenario where these kinds of features are necessary in a legitimate application of this technology. I can think of countless scenarios where these features are necessary in illegitimate and socially corrosive applications of the technology.
My heart is restless an I'm being called. I'm catholic but have not been active in my faith. I would say I considered myself a theist. However, about 3 weeks ago one night I felt what I Can only describe as a "pull" and started to think I wanted to read the bible. This is inusua
Many people are rediscovering the Gospel and embracing the faith against the backdrop of a society marked by a deeply secularized culture. With pastoral tenderness and fraternal charity, we must recognize, welcome, and protect the small flame that the Holy Spirit has kindled in the darkness of the night. #ApostolicJourney #France vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/e…
For me. I Have been reading daily the gospel. I bought several Books. My bible and catechism should arrive by tuesday. I Have been praying ( ive never really prayed before besides catholic schools events). I went to Mass last sunday and paid attention for the first time
