First terrible iPhone preorder in years. Didn’t get in until 8:02, found a pickup slot at 5th Ave on launch day. “Place order” was unresponsive and the app froze picking a new pickup window, so I force quit the app and dates slipped to early December. 😭
People don’t think of NYC as an AI hub, but the amount of innovation taking place here really is astounding
Death, taxes, and iPhone coverage. #AppleEvent

We’ve rolled out improvements to @stripe Directory to make it easier to find the best companies to help you and your agent:
1. Available to all businesses, builders, and agents. Stripe-powered or not. You (or your agent) can install the Stripe CLI and immediately run `stripe directory search` to find the right solution. No Stripe account login required.
2. Instant business listings: When you make your Stripe profile public, there’s no longer a 24 hour lag to appear in search results. Builders and agents will be able to find you immediately.
3. MCP listings: Stripe profiles that support MCP will now have their endpoints included in search results. Filter results by MCP only via --mcp-supported too!
And to help agents find agent-ready businesses easier, we’ve given results with MCP or MPP endpoints a small boost in the results rankings.
What would you like to see next in Stripe Directory? Let us know in the replies.
A few ideas we’re considering:
* Business health metrics factoring into results
* Curated lists by third parties
* Offering physical goods in the results and buying them via agentic commerce
If any of those interest you, my DMs are open or email us at [email protected]!
Been working on this over the past few weeks alongside an incredible team. Really excited to see it out in the world. Still early but looking forward to seeing how people use it and where we take it next.

When @karpathy built MenuGen (karpathy.bearblog.dev/vibe-c…), he said:
"Vibe coding menugen was exhilarating and fun escapade as a local demo, but a bit of a painful slog as a deployed, real app. Building a modern app is a bit like assembling IKEA future. There are all these services, docs, API keys, configurations, dev/prod deployments, team and security features, rate limits, pricing tiers."
We've all run into this issue when building with agents: you have to scurry off to establish accounts, clicking things in the browser as though it's the antediluvian days of 2023, in order to unblock its superintelligent progress.
So we decided to build Stripe Projects to help agents instantly provision services from the CLI.
For example, simply run:
$ stripe projects add posthog/analytics
And it'll create a PostHog account, get an API key, and (as needed) set up billing.
Projects is launching today as a developer preview. You can register for access (we'll make it available to everyone soon) at projects.dev. We're also rolling out support for many new providers over the coming weeks. (Get in touch if you'd like to make your service available.)

A few weeks ago, our team decided to build a requested end-of-year recap for users to celebrate their year on @stripe and share it with the world.
Soooo anyway, we jumped on it fast, and it’s now available to a small group of US businesses in the Dashboard. We’d love to hear what you think. If you like it, we’ll do more next year!

I moved to Mastodon and stopped checking Twitter once third-party clients were banned. I was following some accounts via RSS, but that’s likely going away now too.
You can find me at mastodon.social/@gordonmb and you can join using this link (expires Feb 9) mastodon.social/invite/FSU3i…
Been in meetings all day but just saw the news that there’s a brand new social network called Meta and it doesn’t have any of the downsides of Facebook. Where do I sign up?

Really unbelievable to see what happened in Surfside. I grew up 4 blocks away from Champlain Towers and must have driven past it thousands of times. Miami is in the media a ton but somehow seeing Surfside on the news is super jarring, especially given the tragic circumstances 😔
