1/6 🧵 What if a token could enforce its own rules? Imagine a digital bond that can only be transferred to eligible investors, or a stablecoin with built-in transfer restrictions. That's the idea behind Programmable Tokens on Cardano. Here's why it matters. 👇

🚨 Cardano Weekly Highlights | @IntersectMBO Update #133 Here are 5 developments worth watching this week 👇 🔹 Leios stress testing: Musashi enters its “Fire” phase, pushing the network under global-scale load to help determine how Leios should be configured for Cardano mainnet. 🔹 DijkstraNet is approaching: Node 11.2 is expected to introduce a public test network where developers can begin integrating Dijkstra features into dApps and tools. 🔹 Research opens to everyone: Intersect’s Parameter Committee is inviting proposals to study how far Cardano’s minimum UTxO cost can safely be reduced, including risks and trade-offs. Deadline: Nov 4. 🔹 On-chain accountability: All 25 vendor contracts funded through the 2026 budget are now on-chain, representing ₳204.6M in total contract value. 🔹 A new transaction record: Epoch 660 recorded 1,780,896 transactions, largely driven by the revival of Hosky’s “doggie bowl” faucet. From scaling and upgrades to governance, research and transparency, Cardano keeps moving forward. 🔗 Full update: intersectmbo.org/news/inters…

6/6 The bigger picture. Tokenization isn't just about bringing assets on-chain. It's about making them usable within the rules of the real world. Cardano is building infrastructure for that future. Explore Programmable Tokens 👇 🔗 cardanofoundation.org/blog/p…

5/6 What could this unlock? Think regulated stablecoins, tokenized bonds, shares and other real-world assets. By enforcing defined rules at the transaction level, Cardano can help bridge the gap between blockchain infrastructure and the requirements of regulated finance. The rules depend on each asset's configuration and applicable regulations.

4/6 What makes it interesting? These remain native Cardano assets. The modular approach allows issuers to customize compliance rules for different assets and use cases, without changing Cardano's core protocol. Compliance logic meets on-chain settlement.

3/6 How does Cardano approach this? Through its Programmable Tokens standard (CIP-0113). Issuers can configure rules such as approved-holder lists, transfer restrictions, and freeze or seize controls. When a transaction violates the configured rules, the ledger can reject it.

2/6 Tokenization needs more than a blockchain. Bonds, shares and stablecoins may need to comply with KYC, AML, sanctions screening and ownership restrictions. Putting an asset on-chain is one thing. Enforcing its rules throughout every transaction is another.

What if Cardano had a second, independent node implementation? For most of Cardano’s history, the network has relied on the Haskell-based cardano-node. Now Amaru, a new node implementation written in Rust, is moving toward block production. This is more than a rewrite. It’s about node diversity. Here’s why it matters 🧵

👀 What is Cardano doing there ? This 🧵makes the point!
1/8 Cardano at TOKEN2049 Singapore: what’s actually happening? 🧵 First, let’s clear up a common misconception: "TOKEN2049 is not a Cardano event." Cardano will have a presence there, but TOKEN2049 is a much broader global industry event, bringing together thousands of companies, builders, investors, institutions and Web3 projects from around the world. So what is @Cardano actually doing at @token2049 Singapore, and what should we be paying attention to? From October 6–8, there will be several different activities around Cardano, some directly connected to TOKEN2049 and others happening alongside it. Here’s what’s actually happening. 👇
