Part of the K shaped economy is that some of the smartest people are building machines that can operate at their level or beyond, while a huge share of the population is using the same technology to scroll through influencers with pea brains. Free will. Both sides are compounding
Ben Affleck (Hollywood star & Artists Equity CEO) talks about how he fine-tunes open video models by unfreezing weights and trained only the last cinematic layer so a film crew can hit real production standards. for context, Ben Affleck founded InterPositive in 2022, a 16-person AI shop for film post and Netflix bought it in March 2026 for $587 mn in cash. He needed that model because public video models were trained on his peers' films, and he did not think that was a real business. So InterPositive raised money, shot its own dataset for 8 months on a controlled stage, and used it only as late-stage training. Each new film then trains a private model on its own dailies, so the production keeps the footage and the learning. That is the product Netflix paid $587 million for. ---- From "Bloomberg Live" YouTube channel, (link in comment)

I would literally cut off anyone for cheating on their husband/wife.
I think the Black community really doesn’t take cheating as seriously as it should. My nail tech (non-black) once told me to stop eating at a Pho spot I loved because the owner cheats on his wife. I kept waiting for the rest of the story, but that was all the story. Apparently, the whole nail shop stopped supporting that guy’s business. My nail tech said, “He has no honor. I can’t eat from a man like that. If you can betray the person you sleep beside and who gave you children, why should I trust you with my food?” Then he recommended another Pho spot to me. Some people will say that’s extreme, but imagine if cheating actually came with social consequences instead of everyone just shrugging and saying, “That’s their marriage.”

Creator economy rewards attention. Enterprise tech demands accountability. The freedom to sensationalize, exaggerate & be confidently wrong disappears when your words expose a company to millions in liability. Their superpowers won’t necessarily make them valuable in enterprise
tech companies should be hiring more from the creator, ecom and info space

Always been the case with new tech. The only real anomaly is smartphones, largely driven by assistance programs. You can literally be homeless and stat connected. AI hate is tied to real or perceived economic anxiety, which gets heavily amplified by social media echo chambers
Attitudes about AI are very telling.

Anthropic is offering a 145k salary for a personal assistant in London. Responsibilities include: "Scheduling and managing calendars for leader(s) and their organization" "Building and maintaining organizational systems for tracking and managing inbound requests" "Managing the leader's inbox and communications with precise attention to detail" "Handling travel logistics" Somebody should really build some sort of tech tool that can handle this stuff autonomously.

Regardless of the legality it's ironic that Sony killing physical discs and telling people to basically get comfortable with not owning their games has led to the PS5 jailbreak scene to go into overdrive to such a degree that there's a store where you can get any PSN item free.

In other words, in just 26 years, our government has overseen the erosion of nearly 49% of the dollar’s purchasing power.
A $100,000 salary in 2000 has the same purchasing power as $194,530 in 2026, per YF

No IT experience? You probably have more than you think: - Retail or customer service = handling frustrated users
- Fixing family computers = troubleshooting
- Setting up a home network = networking Put it on your resume in IT terms. Simple.
