Whatever your position on Mamdani, we have to recognize that US Israel ties are deeply embedded in American politics, Congress, lobbying, military cooperation, and foreign policy. That infrastructure won’t change overnight. If the goal is to actually dismantle these ties, we need to build political power strategically and target those institutions step by step. Attacking the few people creating openings for this kind of change isn’t the pressure we should be applying.

It was Mamdani's stance on Palestine that made me support him. I knocked on doors in Harlem when Black politicians were endorsing Cuomo, and Black people in Harlem had no idea who he was. I registered people to vote for him. I earned the right to be pissed!
