Thinking someone is less respectable because they are merely more honest or open, or they have a real sense of humor, or aren't obsessed with outside validation, is wacko.

The extreme of tolerance becomes madness and instability. Tolerance is healthy not to keep expanding the fence line, but to let wild flowers grow inside it. Tolerance is for a makeshift fix of the fence when need be, not for removing the fence entirely.

Choose someone who is good for your mental health. Someone you respect, who respects you, who you can laugh with, cry with, enjoy long silences with, someone who let you be you, helps you grow, tells you the truth, is kind but not naive, has confidence but not pride, a real one.

You can't build a real, fulfilling, lasting future with anyone whose priorities are about ego, money or appearances.
