Man, you're still worried about LLMs making unmaintainable software? Dude, I'm more worried about humans who have been making unmaintainable software for decades already. The things I've seen...

If I have to go to a dashboard to use your product, I'm not going to use your product.
If anything, I'm more likely to tell Claude to rebuild your product.
Anyone solved stealth level design with LLMs? Im working on a 3D game with some stealth dynamics but Opus is still not there for this kind of level design.
I've gotten some better results building some systems on top but not quite fire and forget yet.
Just one-shotted the whole company by showing an app demo video I shot with @claudeai code and @ElevenLabs.
We're still early.
So many posts talking about trying to escape the "permanent underclass".
Is anyone stopping to think about how to build a world without one?
Dear @SlackHQ,
If you can't ship a client side image resizing tool in 2026...
This. "Luck" is real; it's just a word for randomness. But "lucky" people aren't lucky. People fixate on the visible outcome they can't explain, when the real value is in the invisible work they never bothered to look for.

The concept of being at Princeton in 1970 and befriending another grad student just so you can coauthor an algorithm with his name after you earn your doctorates, and only admitting it was for this express purpose in his memorial tribute.
Name a single BL that is half this good.

Hayek: “Socialism protesting against production for profit objects to what makes the extended society possible.”
“Profit is a signal which tells us what we must do in order to serve people whom we don’t know.”
Im increasingly getting annoyed at LLMs thinking like "humans"... For example, there's no reason an LLM should estimate the time to implement a feature in weeks, when it's gonna do it in 10 minutes a second later. Lots of similar examples in content generation.

the older i get, the more i realize that this is everything
homes, churches, cities, water, power, courts, relationships, everything, everything must be tended with care and dedication, or it will be devoured
civilization is an act of creation, and therefore love
Replying to @patrickc
I think there is also a component of leaders and broader society needing to have the “will to have nice things.”
Every fountain everywhere will lose a battle with entropy. Someone needs to choose, and keep choosing, that the fountain is a priority.

I’m turning 41, but I don’t feel like celebrating.
Our generation is running out of time to save the free Internet built for us by our fathers.
What was once the promise of the free exchange of information is being turned into the ultimate tool of control.
Once-free countries are introducing dystopian measures such as digital IDs (UK), online age checks (Australia), and mass scanning of private messages (EU).
Germany is persecuting anyone who dares to criticize officials on the Internet. The UK is imprisoning thousands for their tweets. France is criminally investigating tech leaders who defend freedom and privacy.
A dark, dystopian world is approaching fast — while we’re asleep. Our generation risks going down in history as the last one that had freedoms — and allowed them to be taken away.
We’ve been fed a lie.
We’ve been made to believe that the greatest fight of our generation is to destroy everything our forefathers left us: tradition, privacy, sovereignty, the free market, and free speech.
By betraying the legacy of our ancestors, we’ve set ourselves on a path toward self-destruction — moral, intellectual, economic, and ultimately biological.
So no, I’m not going to celebrate today. I’m running out of time. WE are running out of time.

We are alarmed by reports that Germany is on the verge of a catastrophic about-face, reversing its longstanding and principled opposition to the EU’s Chat Control proposal which, if passed, could spell the end of the right to privacy in Europe.
