A little ACW game, real wargame, real hex and counters, old good stuff, old school enjoyment! C'mon! – at Rome, Lazio
Last night @giuseppetamba and I sat down and played a little game on the battle of Brandy Station (yes, ACW!).
What a pleasant little surprise this was! Very few pieces (units are brigades and there are 20 event chits) that deliver tension, decisons and a nice tactical feel.

During WW1 a rope of 3 Alpini, climbing from Forcella U, encountered an Austrian sentry at Forcella Alta. The lead Alpino was so surprised he jumped backwards, slipped, and fell 250ft, dragging his climbing partners with him. They landed on a ledge at Forcella U, but survived.

A Stick in Throat - part 2
Thursday, @giuseppetamba and I sat down to try and finish Scenario 1 (5 turns).
My priority was Malta, while Giuseppe’s was North Africa.
But there were surprises along the way: he launched a surprise attack with SLCs against Malta and sunk a BB!
Interesting stuff in my wargame's club in Rome! Have a look! – at Rome, Lazio
It finally happened! Last night @giuseppetamba and I finally had a chance to take “A Stick in Throat” by KiloVolt Design for a spin.
We played scenario 1 - 5 turns starting in June 1940.
The game comes with a full English translation by @StarC_Yukari (thanks!)

After many many months I finally had the chance to sit down and play with @giuseppetamba . We had lots to catch up on so we picked a “very light” game on, you guessed it, ACW!
