We revealed this morning that Sarah Helm, wife of National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell, had been discussing what her husband did at work with random people on Twitter. This afternoon, the House of Lords asked how she knew. Answer came there none.

Putting aside that his wife is an utterly deranged fanatic, Jonathan Powell himself has fingerprints all over countless disastrous policies.
As Blair’s Chief of Staff he intervened to remove wording in the notorious Iraq dossier that questioned the likelihood of Saddam Hussein using chemical and biological weapons offensively, all to strengthen the case for war.
He also sent letters assuring IRA suspects they weren’t wanted by police, while British soldiers received no such reassurances — helping create today’s grotesque two-tier system.
And under Starmer he organised the totally discredited Chagos deal which hands British territory to Mauritius and commits British taxpayers to paying billions to retain use of a strategically vital military base Britain already controls.
His wife has done us all a favour in (hopefully) hastening his exit.

The designer the bastardised “Palestine poppy” is a British-Pakistani NHS doctor who suggested Israel was a cancer.
Abdul Qader Ismail, 41, of Birmingham, is an NHS trainee paediatrician who has worked at various West Midlands hospitals, according to his research profile.
He sells the "Palestinian" flag-coloured enamel pin, shaped like a red poppy, for £1.78 on eBay, with profits donated to charities working to “end the occupation” of the Palestinian territories.

An Oxford-trained paediatrician writes books for Muslim teenagers that treat stoning as acceptable and homosexuality as “a test from Allah,” then flogs a poppy rebranded in Palestinian colours to raise money for Gaza while the rest of us are trying to remember the lads who died for this country. The Spectator can now reveal that Ismail is an active member of Greens for Palestine and co-sponsored the group's 'Zionism is Racism' policy. He is also the author of a book series titled An Introduction to Challenging Topics for Muslim Teens.

The anti-Muslim hostility definition is designed to silence criticism of Islam, its history and its practices. It is a direct assault on our fundamental right to free speech.
Baroness Gohir, a member of the House of Lords and of the Working Group tasked with drafting the definition, has claimed that it is “Islamophobic” to point out that most rape-gang perpetrators were Muslim men. This is despite Baroness Casey’s report finding a disproportionate number of perpetrators of child sexual exploitation were men of Pakistani heritage.
Earlier this year, the Free Speech Union revealed that all five members of the Working Group, appointed by Angela Rayner, had troubling links to Islamist organisations.
Rayner’s department then claimed it had deleted all responses to the Working Group’s consultation, apparently breaching the Government’s own data policy. This only fuelled speculation that Islamist extremists may have influenced the drafting of what amounts to a de facto Islamic blasphemy law.
After an investigation, the department claimed that the responses were still held on its data system — but refused to disclose them.

The books provide justifications (within specific conditions) for stoning, crucification, cutting off hands and female genital mutilation.
Ismail describes same-sex attraction as a ‘test from Allah’ and says homosexual relationships are wrong. He writes: ‘Even if we have homosexual feelings, we would not be able to act upon them without displeasing Allah… Having homosexual feelings is not a sin, and if we pray to Allah to help us and we do not act upon our feelings, Allah will be pleased with us.’

The BBC has no business pushing a left-wing agenda on our children. Games urging pupils to campaign for Amnesty International, which branded gender-critical women’s rights organisations “anti-rights”, or promoting open borders are completely unacceptable.

An Algerian Hamas supporter who became an illegal overstayer in Britain, lied to immigration officers about it, and went to prison for it, is now in a senior role at the BBC.
Because the Tories and Labour failed to deport him.
Hicham Yezza has a long record of supporting Islamist violence.
He was arrested in 2008 for possessing an al-Qaeda terrorist training manual.
He came to Britain on a visa that expired in 2003. He stayed anyway. When immigration officers caught up with him, he told them his passport with the visa stamp had been stolen. They found it in his flat.
A jury convicted him of deception. He was jailed for nine months.
Then he won his appeal against deportation, and was later handed British citizenship.
Now he’s the Principal Data Scientist in the BBC’s “Responsible AI” division, helping to decide how AI shapes what BBC News tells you.
Before that he worked at BBC Monitoring, briefing BBC journalists on the Middle East.
Can you guess what kind of briefings he gave them?
He should never have been allowed to stay. Under Reform, people like him never will be.

Il a bien tenté de les aider après les cours, mais ces séances empiétaient sur ses engagements bénévoles dans une maison de retraite et sur ses leçons de violoncelle.
