"We think, mistakenly, that success is the result of the amount of time we put in at work, instead of the quality of time we put in."

Wtf is going on with job interviews lately?
Company posts a Software Engineer role in Copenhagen for 45β50k DKK/month.
You apply. Interview. Rejected. Fine.
A few days later, the exact same job is posted again.
Same company. Same description. Literally 1:1.
New salary: 70β90k DKK/month.
Someone explain this to me bc I don't get it.
What makes you feel worse?
A) Going on vacation knowing your team canβt make the sprint without you.
B) Going on vacation knowing absolutely no one gives a f@k that youβre gone.
Every time I watch a Samsung or Apple phone launch, all I can think about is what a pain in the ass it would be to make my app responsive on that screen.
Are there genuinely people who wake up at 6AM to leave for work at 8AM??
WHAT are you doing for those 2 hours?
Sometimes Iβm going to sleep fully dressed and with makeup on just to get 10 more minutes in the morning.
Most of the time I think I am very smart.
Today I went to work and after 15 min in the train I realised I forgot my laptop...
Anyone else done something similar?π€¦ββοΈ
I have spilled water on my mac pro 3 weeks ago and it kinda died. I put it in a trashbag with 2 car dehumidifiers for 2 days. To my surprise it turned on. I ran thermals for 30 min and the mac was working fine all these days. Today I have pulled latest OS update and the keyboard stopped responding, while screen started going on and off. What actually tf? Is it a water damage from 3 weeks ago or the update?
Hi guys, I am still out of tokens. They were suposed to get renewed today, but they didn't. And I can not check why they didn't get renewed because I have no tokens.
I wanted to go on Internet and Google it, like in old days, but last week my teammate told me that real programmers use linux, so he installed it for me. I havenβt figured out how to open a browser yet.
So, here I am, writing SQL by hand. I feel it is getting better.
Imagine getting fired because AI made your software engineering role redundant.
You update your CV to AI Enginee.
β¦and the same company hires you back to build thin wrappers around the AI that replaced you.
Corporate innovation at its finest.
β100% handcrafted software. No AI used.β
Sounds stupid today.
But give it 2 years and this might become a selling point.
I am trying hard to predict the next step...
Every corpo AI strategy:
A year ago: βDonβt use AI. It will steal our data.β
3 months later: βHereβs Copilot.β
6 months later: βWe need fully agentic development. Ship faster. Build AI POCs.β
2 months later: βNo personal Claude or Codex. Hereβs $100 API budget.β
1 month later: βMake a PowerPoint on how you save "
