Pokemon TCG is the best card game all around. Diverse meta games, intricate deckbuilding, high-skill in-game decisions, high agency, extremely low costs for the best cards and decks, and they haven't banned a card in almost 6 years!

we used to joke about this, but gambling mechanisms, metagame progression, interaction extenders, timewasting filler etc has all become so commonplace that most people genuinely just think that that's what videogames are now & get confused/angry when you say that stuff is bad
