Watch as this reporter sees how dangerous abliterated AI is in the hands of a terrorist.
But NCITE Ph.D. Margaret Shercliffe is optimistic for the future of counterterrorism research.

What a leader @DonJBacon is…not only did he make time before his House vote to learn about @NCITE_COE research on AI impacts to terrorist capacity research during our 9/11 Demo Day in the Cannon Building…1/2
…he also asked each student about their reason for choosing @UNOmaha (spoiler alert: our @iopsyc_uno faculty!), career plans post graduation, and what he can do to help. Will miss his leadership for NE02 & his commitment to science.
Huge thanks to @chancellor_li for this night

Since first being elected in 2016, our team has made it a priority to partner with & advocate for @UNOmaha. Together, we secured funding for the STEM TRAIL Center, supported Maverick Athletics & worked with NCITE to strengthen our nation’s security. Thank you, UNO. Go Mavs!

Our discussion continued with a panel of experts from @UNL_IANR, @unmc, @NCITE_COE and @KState's Biosecurity Research Institute. It is imperative that we safeguard national interests while advancing economic growth—and the panel explored strategies to achieve both.

We took a handful of students from Nebraska to DC and they briefed members of Congress about their research. It’s an experience most undergrads would never have. So happy to be working at a university that values student opportunities.

Today we mourn the lives lost on Sept. 11 and the countless other victims of terrorist attacks since that tragic day. NCITE was established in 2020 to help policymakers, practitioners, and the public better understand the nature of terrorist threats to the United States homeland.
It’s September 11th. I woke up so so very grateful for the dedicated civil servants who have protected America from hundreds of terrorist attack attempts over the past 24 years. A thread on some specific teams (1/13)
Thank you to @dhsscitech for funding applied research centers like @NCITE_COE who work to support operations with new knowledge about emerging terrorist threats, tactics, and targets. (12/13)
And thank you to Nebraska operators who keep my family, my colleagues, and my community safe @FBIOmaha @NEStatePatrol @SarpySheriff @OmahaPolice
