We are pleased to share two achievements this month, benefiting our Canadian adult community and advancing our advocacy efforts. 1. Expansion of Routine Testing for Femme Creators: @Switchkitchen successfully lobbied the BC Center for Disease Control to include Mycoplasma genitalium (MGen) in routine testing for Femme Creators, free of charge. Femme creators can now request this test once per month during screenings. Our ongoing efforts aim to extend free MGen testing to penis-owning creators and to include Trichomoniasis (Trich) in routine screenings for all. 2. Advocacy Against Bill S-210: The @altrawmedia team on our educational site submitted a brief to the SECU committee opposing Bill S-210 in its current form, highlighting its potential negative impact on independent sex workers, performers, and adult film producers and proposing device-based age verification as an alternative to protect minors. The brief was accepted and published on May 14th. You can read the full brief here: ourcommons.ca/Content/Commit… SwitchKitchen remains dedicated to driving positive change for creators and sex workers across Canada.
