Disappointed with the quote from College President.
It has been clear for years that:
🔴 we need to train more pathologists, in fact lots more
🔴 post mortem work is under-valued and poorly remunerated
🔴 systems need to change to value autopsy pathology as a career choice
Due to a high number of excess deaths in 2022, pathologists are struggling to cope with the "constant onslaught" of demand of carrying out vital post-mortems so bodies can be released to loved ones for funeral services trib.al/BGJGuXg

Dear frozen section stars: can anyone recommend a good brand of benchtop autostainer for an H&E stain line?
Years ago, I saw a simple chain-drive stainer that looked clever, but didn't acquire it.
The pace is picking up so much for our frozen technicians we need some help!

Trainees often ask me, "What am I looking for in the {membrane roll / umbilical cord / basal plate...}?" So I thought I would make a presentation for @NU_Pathology residents. It's done enough to share bits of with the #placentapath community.
