Our important operation in the Kupiansk sector. Mykhailo Drapatyi, Ihor Obolenskyi, and Pavlo Palisa reported on the initial results and progress of Operation Veles, carried out by the Khartiia 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine. More than 100 Russian occupiers have already been eliminated, and more than 30 have been taken prisoner. The underground advance has exceeded 15 kilometers. The Russians had already tried to use underground gas pipelines to move through our positions and launch assault operations. Ukrainian warriors have successfully transformed this tactic, modernized it, and made it much more sophisticated and technologically advanced. We are protecting the lives of our people, inflicting losses on the occupiers, and achieving our objectives in the Kupiansk sector. Glory to Ukraine!

We in Nansana have given up hope of having reliable electricity in our homes! Power outages are the order of the day. We get electricity for just 3 hours in an entire 24-hour day. How are we supposed to live and work like this? Is this acceptable? @UEDCLTD

UKRAINE’S ARMY JUST WENT THROUGH A COMMAND REVOLUTION 🇺🇦🇷🇺 According to Ukrainska Pravda, public pressure and protests in Kyiv helped push President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to replace Oleksandr Syrskyi. Just two and a half months later, his successor, 43-year-old Mykhailo Drapatyi, has begun a sweeping overhaul of Ukraine’s 🇺🇦 command system. Frontline commanders describe the biggest change with one word: freedom. Before the transition, Zelenskyy reportedly spent days meeting corps commanders to determine whether the front could function without Syrskyi, whose leadership style had centralized an extraordinary amount of control around himself. One source told Ukrainska Pravda: “Syrskyi destroyed any competition around him.” Drapatyi moved several dozen officers into the reserve, including commanders of the 11th and 19th Corps. Around 15 officers reportedly left the General Staff’s international cooperation department in a single day. He also restored commanders previously pushed aside. Emil Ishkulov, removed after refusing to lead the 80th Brigade into Kursk without additional resources, now commands the 11th Corps defending Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. Air Assault Forces officers have taken several senior positions, including Chief of the General Staff and Land Forces commander. Critics see this as favoritism toward the paratroopers, while others argue Ukraine simply has a limited pool of experienced commanders available. The operational philosophy has also changed dramatically. Syrskyi reportedly intervened directly with brigade commanders, sometimes specifying the exact coordinates where units should fight. Drapatyi instead works through operational groupings, has cut hours of daily reporting, and asks commanders for three things: statistics, their problems, and what they need to solve them. The number of operational groupings has been reduced to six. Two new formations under Andriy Biletskyi and Denys Prokopenko are being tasked with the Kramatorsk and Dobropillia directions. The 7th Air Assault Corps command has also moved from Volyn to Zaporizhzhia as Russian 🇷🇺 forces reportedly concentrate around Huliaipole. Syrskyi’s assault regiments have meanwhile lost their previous priority in manpower allocation. Their replenishment has slowed and they are being integrated into corps structures, redistributing personnel toward the wider force. Most significantly, Drapatyi’s team has reportedly drafted what may be Ukraine’s first comprehensive “war plan.” The document, now with the national security leadership, is intended to define what the military must achieve, by when, and how forces should be used to preserve the country. The shift is bigger than replacing one commander with another. Ukraine appears to be moving from centralized micromanagement toward a system that gives battlefield commanders more autonomy, demands clearer objectives, and makes them responsible for execution. In a war where decisions can become obsolete within minutes, that freedom may matter as much as firepower.

The IDF releases footage of troops scanning the inside of Hezbollah's tunnels beneath the Ali Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon, before the underground complex was destroyed last night. Some 50 Hezbollah operatives were believed to be holed up under Ali Taher when a new ceasefire took effect in June. Contrary to recent reports, no members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were in the tunnels, according to the IDF. The military says it killed many of the Hezbollah operatives during the offensive to capture the underground site, including some trying to flee the tunnels and some trying to bring reinforcements. A video published by the IDF shows two Hezbollah operatives being struck after opening fire from one of the tunnel shafts. Inside the tunnels, around a dozen bodies were found by the troops, according to the military. Still, some of the Hezbollah operatives are assessed to have fled the area. The military says it will "reorganize" its deployment in the area following the destruction of the tunnels, but will still remain in control of the ridge with surveillance and firepower.
