What if an app could match you with your Soulmate?
For Steve, his soulmate happens to be someone who's his complete opposite. He still can't believe he got roped into this, and he can't believe he now has to date Eddie Munson for all of 5 weeks...

Eddie knew Steve didn't mean anything by it. He had personally been on the defensive side of an argument with Dustin, and he knew how hellish it could get.
The kid was relentless, and sometimes you just wanted to get it over with.
And much to Eddie's disappointment, Steve retreated, sitting back on the couch and leaving Eddie and his desperate reminder that he had been pining over Steve Harrington for an entire year by now.
Before getting back to LA, Buck's feeling sort of weird. It's pretty expected after you've been in a car crash and kidnapped and had to pretend to be someone's kid.
He wasn't in his right mind, is what he's getting at.
Which is why he misread Eddie's signals.
But Eddie was straight and Buck had no business kissing his straight best friend just because his feelings were all over after a pretty traumatic experience.
Which is why Buck has decided he'll never say a word about it again. He won't tell anyone about the life-changing kiss
