Citizen Kane is famous for it's "deep focus," a sort of visual glitch caused by using too narrow of a lens aperture. If it was made today, a more modern shallow depth of field would help audiences to know exactly where they should be looking.

We spent $100m building a robot that can pirouette at 5000 rpm and performs Swan Lake beginning to end in 30 seconds. Ballet is solved.

This shows the differences between MJ and LeBron’s games. MJ was more of a score first gambling addict. LeBron’s much more comfortable creating (gambling addiction) for others

Just been looking over my 6 year olds school work collection and found this little gem about the etymological origin of, and nuclear decay pathways of protactinium.

Photo doesn’t really do justice to just how much of the room this painting consumes. Couldn’t look away for almost 20 minutes. Great end to Stereodynamics2026.

THREAD: The collapse of higher education in the UK is misunderstood by almost everyone involved. We are told it is because of volatile international student markets. The truth is more to do with real estate and capital investment. Here is what is going on: in places like the US

Absurd and inhuman violence is spreading ferociously through the sacred places of the Christian East, profaned by the blasphemy of war and the brutality of business, with no regard for people’s lives, which are considered at most collateral damage of self-interest. But no gain can be worth the life of the weakest, children, or families. No cause can justify the shedding of innocent blood.

Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.
